Jesus died for our sins, was buried, then resurrected, and thereby offers salvation to all who will receive Him in faith. Unique among all other religions, Christianity is more about a relationship with god than religious practices such as in Buddhism. Instead of adhering to a list of “do’s and don’ts,” the goal of a Christian is to cultivate a close relationship with God. This is done in Churches where majority of believers worship God, led by their spiritual leaders which are called priests or ministers. Christians communicate with their God through prayer, which may be formal and part of a ritual that was laid down hundreds of years ago, or spontaneous and personal. The Church is run by spiritual leaders called priests or ministers. Christianity is made up of many different denominations such as Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, Anglican, and Pentecostal Churches. Each one has its own beliefs and rituals but all are based on the teachings of Christ. Roman Catholic is the world’s largest Christian church with over 1 billion members. The pope, who is the bishop of Rome, leads the church and according to church teachings he is free from error when speaking about Christian beliefs. That relationship is made possible because of the work of Jesus Christ and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. The Christian holy book is the Bible, and consists of the Old and New Testaments. It teaches Christian followers how to live their lives which will lead to peace. Christians believe in one God that exists in three entities—the Father (God), the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. Christians believe that humans were created to have a relationship with God, but when they sin against the 10 commandments it will separate them from God. Christians celebrate the birth of Christ on the 25th of December (known as Christmas) where all western countries do not work and use the day to celebrate what Christ has done for us. They also celebrate the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. The western world use four days a year (which changes each year as Easter always occurs on a full moon) to celebrate how Jesus suffered, died and then rose from the tomb which Christians believes is what made God forgive our sins. This is arguably the most important time of year for Christians. They believe that we cannot be “good enough” to please God on our own, because we are all sinners. Christians believe that God created the universe and all living things in it. They believe that God is all-knowing and is everywhere, and that God loves everyone unconditionally. According to Christianity, salvation is freedom from the old sin nature and freedom to pursue a right relationship with God and live a happy life. As long as believers live on this earth in their sinful bodies, they will engage in a constant struggle with sinning. However, Christians can overcome the struggle of sin by applying God’s Word in their lives and being controlled by the Holy Spirit—this is known by Christians as submitting to the Spirit’s as it leads us in everyday circumstances which results in a happier and
