JJ graduated from High School and went to Duke University. In 2006 JJ decided that his college day are over and that he would enter the NBA draft. In June of 2006, JJ was the 11th of the 1st round and was drafted by the Orlando Magic. JJ made his NBA debut on November 25, 2006 against the Atlanta Hawks.
