Chris Kyle once said, “a hero is someone that has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself”. He was born on April 8th, 1974 in Odessa Texas, he graduated school 1994 from Tarleton State University. He grew up on a ranch and usually spent his time outside hunting pheasents,deer and quail. He also later competed in bull riding contests and after that he suffered an injury that ended his career. He joined the Navy in 1999 and quickly gained admittance to the Elite Seals unit he became part of Seal Team 3. Chris Kyle married Taya Studebaker in 2002 and met her in 2001. Chris Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield died from getting shot at a Texas gun range on February 2, 2013. When they were helping a fellow vet named Eddie Ray Routh with PTSD. The jury found Eddie Ray Routh guilty for the killing of Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield. So they sentenced Eddie to life in prison. Chris Kyle was buried at the Texas State Cemetery while Chad Littlefield was buried at Mount Zion Cemetery. Chris Kyle was a hero for serving his country honorably for 10yrs and for helping others. He pushed himself to be the best and even became what he set out for. He believed he had one job and it was to protect his fellow men. Chris willingly went into battle when no one else was. He even went in when the odds were against him which made him known as the Devil of Ramadi. Even though many people thought of him as a hero, he helped many people he still didn't think of himself as hero.
