Chris Kyle once said, “a hero is someone that has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself”. He was born on April 8th, 1974 in Odessa Texas, he graduated school 1994 from Tarleton State University. He grew up on a ranch and usually spent his time outside hunting pheasents,deer and quail. He also later competed in bull riding contests and after that he suffered an injury that ended his career. He joined the Navy in 1999 and quickly gained admittance to the Elite Seals unit he became part of Seal Team 3. Chris Kyle married Taya Studebaker in 2002 and met her in 2001. He remained in position alone for more than an hour directing his men in what they needed to do to complete the mission. When Staff Sergeant Murphy and his men finally took the kill there was around 15 Germans killed and along with that there was 35 injured. Because of his actions it earned him another Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster for his silver star.
