The lowermost part of the face, the chin, plays a significant role in maintaining the facial profile. A more younger, attractive and healthier look is achieved by a stronger chin. Chin augmentation using surgical implants tends to provide better balance to the facial features by modifying the underlying face structures. Proper jaw bone modification helps in achieving chin augmentation. More dramatic results are offered in the augmentation procedure which makes use of jaw implants rather than prosthetic implants. An aesthetic chin surgery aims to correct a weak chin in addition to improving the facial balance. Patients who have normal functioning teeth and jaw development are mainly recommended to undergo chin augmentation procedure which involves the use of implants. The dimensions of the jaw are altered by fixing a biocompatible implant over the bony part of the lower jaw. Depending upon the augmented region, you can either enhance the size of your face or can make your chin more strong or wide. Sometimes, inorder to keep a balance with the facial proportions, this surgery is combin...
Cosmetic surgery is performed by doctors from a variety of medical fields, including plastic surgeons. The scope of cosmetic surgery encompasses breast enhancement, facial contouring, facial rejuvenation, body contouring, and skin rejuvenation. On the other hand, plastic surgery deals with reconstructive surgery. In fact, in 1999, the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons changed its name to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons in order to communicate that “plastic and reconstructive surgery are one and the same”. Because it is reconstructive in nature, plastic surgery corrects dysfunctional areas of the body.
A surgical procedure which is used to insert cheek implants is known as mammoplasty or mammaplasty. Augmentation mammoplasty refers to a procedure which involves breast enlargement via implants. Enhancement is the best description. Mouth is generally chosen for inserting cheek implants. For more facial definition and improvement, these implants are secured above the cheekbones.
In the early 1980’s breast implants began gaining popularity, but they have been on the market since the early 1960’s. They were invented by plastic surgeons Cronin and Gerow. Dow Corning began manufacturing them commercially in 1962. Today over two million women have undergone breast augmentation surgery. There are many negative consequences that may arise from the surgery, and there is always the risk of infection or rupture. When beginning my research on the subject I assumed there would be a plethora of information. I was shocked to find out that there wasn’t. Silicone breast implants have been around for 40 years and there have been very few studies on their consequences, and possible effects on a woman’s body. The Food and Drug Administration has never approved the use of silicone implants. It is a surprising fact, because silicone implants are still being used today, but only by women who agree to be in a study of their safety. The politics surrounding breast augmentation are sketchy for lack of a better word. They have been promoted as being safe, yet their safety has never been fully questioned. While looking online, I found a variety of websites on the subject. There were many websites from the plastic surgery industry promoting breast implants as being safe. Then there were the websites like http://www.siliconeholocaust.org, this was by far the most disturbing site I have ever seen. There were dozens of pictures of real women who had their lives ruined by breast implants. If these, and other women had the little information that is available on the subject, they may have opted not to have the surgery because of the unnecessary consequences they now suffer.
According to studies and surveys on the procedures done at some top plastic surgeons’ clinics in our country, there is a 40 percent increase in facelift procedures for men in the past few years. As per the data collected after 1997, it seems the trend of getting a facelift has become more popular with a 273 percent
Teenagers take extreme measures in order to “fix” themselves (by having Plastic surgery). Plastic Surgery is a surgical process used to repair deformities and glitches in a persons body. Nowadays, teenagers tend to have plastic surgeries to improve physical characteristics they feel are flawed and/or to fit in with peers, to look similar to others. In fact, it is only the pressure that has been put upon these minors that makes them want to look flawless or perfect in order to feel comfortable in their own skin and avoid any unwanted judgments. Most teenagers are not mature enough to clearly understand the problems and consequences that are accompanied with cosmetic surgery. Therefore, cosmetic surgery should not be allowed for minors.
Aesthetic, cosmetic, or commonly referred to by the layman as plastic surgery refers to a range of operations performed in order to repair or restore body parts to look normal or to enhance a particular structure or anatomy that is already regular as a fully functioning body part. The demand for this form of surgery has undergone an increasing trend in recent years, as various societies’ cultures have become more concerned with external human image and appearance. These growths in demand for aesthetic plastic surgery and the advocacy of practice in the media have invited concerns about the ethical aptness and permissibility of this medical procedure (Sterodimas, Radwanski, & Pitanguy, 2011). Advanced research, and novel technologies derived from such research, almost always raises ethical and moral considerations. It is essential to create an educated and well-informed public about the ethical issues in this field of medical study. This paper seeks to investigate and illustrate the ethical considerations that are in relation with the implementation and adaptation of cosmetic surgery, ranging from those that are related to injuries sustained from traumatic accidents to those that are purely initiated for enhancement purposes by individuals for various reasons. Also, various perspectives toward the issue of cosmetic surgery will be illustrated and discussed with respect to the basic normative theories in order to allow the evaluation of its moral correctness from various viewpoints.
The words plastic surgery ignite certain thoughts into people’s minds. One may think of a celebrity such as Kylie Jenner or the constant rise in breast augmentation. Typically most people do not have the desire to surgically alter their appearance. Some however, feel the need to enhance their look as a result of insecurity, low self-esteem or bullying. Others have certain role models they look up to and would like to resemble their idol in one aspect or another. Adolescents and young adults are the most influenced by the media. Often times, a teen girl will scroll through her Instagram or even look at models in advertisements and want to look like the women pictured. Even if this means mimicking a certain eye look or hairstyle. Some girls won’t settle for a subtle change and will want to take things farther.
Plastic surgery’s history goes as far back as 2000 B.C. Ancient physicians in India and Egypt practiced simple forms of plastic surgery. Why was plastic surgery important? Around the first century B.C Roman physicians practiced surgical methods to alter the human body. Roman culture highly valued the shape and beauty of the human body. Roman doctors also operated on gladiators whose body and faces had been severely damaged. People in Rome were afraid of scars on their back as it was considered shameful and depicted that a man had turned his back during the war and would use plastic surgery techniques to remove the scares.

Which person in the whole world didn’t wish at some point in his/her life to go back in time? Whether it was to have another chance to correct our mistakes or grab an opportunity we once let go, we all wish to travel to the past. For some people, it is totally different. They want to go back in time not only to look but to also feel young again; and luckily for these people the solution has been found. Since ancient times people seek self-improvement and plastic surgery which is the reparation, reconstruction or change of body parts using surgical procedures, has never stopped evolving and improving to help them. For the past few decades plastic surgery has been increasing more and more, which raised the debate between those who accept it and those who oppose it and want it to stop especially when it is done for cosmetic rather than reconstructive purposes. Cosmetic surgery should not be trivialized, as it has many benefits and lead to favorable consequences.
Individuals who want to delete the signs of ageing but are frightened to undergo surgery often turn to another solution i.e. non-surgical facelift in Delhi. This technology is becoming progressively more popular owing to its abridged risks. As more and more of us with ageing skin look away from invasive treatments and look for other solutions, the route of having a 'non-surgical face lift' looks more appropriate. The term non-surgical facelift can refer to an array of anti-aging processes and in general means a treatment that is either noninvasive or less invasive than surgery. There are countless benefits of a non-surgical facelift when equated to surgical options.
Nowadays, since the number of procedures increases, cosmetic surgery has rapidly developed all over the world. According to an annual report of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) in 2015, the United States is the biggest market of cosmetic surgery in the world. Near 16 million cosmetic procedures were performed in the U.S. in 2015, with the five most common surgeries being breast augmentation, nose reshaping, eyelid surgery, liposuction and tummy tuck (“Plastic Surgery Procedures”).
As this process does not confiscate superfluous skin, it is idyllic for those forty five and under or those with marginal skin drooping with no severe loss of elasticity and no turkey neck. Contenders for this technique should also not be frightened of needles. Thread lifts place perpetual sutures underneath the skin without giving the patient extensive scars around their ears. The lift's inclusive effect will pull the face upward, particularly around the patient's jaws, neck and cheeks. As the months go by post-procedure, new collagen cultivates around the sewn-in threads, making the skin tauter over the next few months and improving outcomes further. Thread lifts, while speedier than regular cosmetic facelifts, aren't risk-free. Like usual surgical facelift techniques, patients will experience bleeding, inflammation, septicity and bruising. There is a possibility that the threads will stick out of the skin or can be seen and/or felt beneath the skin. Irregularity of results or rupture of the thread can also transpire. These actions will entail corrective measures, as they won't liquefy but will stay in position forever unless accurately
One is that the jaw might night be the appropriate density to provide support for dental implants. Using x-rays, a dentist can tell you how dense your jaw bone is. It may still be possible to have the procedure done by using implants that are different shapes and sizes, which will help ensure it has the bone support it needs for the implant to work. In addition, if you are undergoing treatments for osteoporosis, know that it will change the way that bones in your body heal.
Cosmetic Surgery is a great discovery that has been around for many centuries. “The history of plastic surgery origins in the early 800 B.C. when surgeons in India restored noses to persons who had them taken off as a form of punishment.” (History of Cosmetic Surgery, 2008) Many people have used over the years cosmetic and reconstructive surgery to enhance their physical appearance weather it be for health problems associated with birth defect or problems that they have developed over the years or to even alter physical appearances for instance nose jobs and tummy tucks. There are numerous types of cosmetic surgery that can be done today in the United States, over the year’s surgeons techniques have improved dramatically. There are a number of pro’s and con’s that go along with cosmetic surgery, such as the amount of recovery time and the initial cost of surgery. Statistics also show that cosmetic surgery has grown so rapidly over the years it is phenomenal people who receive cosmetic surgery goes up by the millions every year. While there can be many related health risks due to cosmetic sugary, many times cosmetic surgery is necessary and its is made more affordable than thought to be.
