With a busy year ahead with both an upcoming tour and the release of his new album, Childish Gambino has finally appeases his fans with a new music video and two new songs. Gambino performed both "This is America" and "Saturday" live on Saturday Night Live this past weekend. His new video for "This is America"has definitely caught the attention and risen awareness from people it may concern. But, we'll get into later.
Zoe Kravitz (daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet) introduced Gambino, who would eventually join both him and his band on stage to enjoy the vibes with other partying people. For the music enthusiast that enjoys 70's music, combined with a Caribbean vibe, Gambino's new song "Saturday" ideally fits that description. Unlike his most previous album "Awaken My Love," Gambino seemingly recaptured his sound from his 2014 release "Kauai." It was quite refreshing honestly, because this is the sound typical fans of his enjoy the most.

His skits entitled "Friendos," and "A Kanye Place," were both amusing and appealing to the SNL audience. Not to mention topical since Kanye West has obviously been in the headlines for the past couple weeks sparked by his unprecedented return to Twitter. With his hit television show "Atlanta," it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone how big of a hit Glover was on SNL.
Later in the show is where the controversy begins. Gambino not only performed another song, but decided to release a politically-influenced video for "This is
Fall Out Boy is an American rock band formed in Wilmette, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, in 2001. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz, guitarist Joe Trohman, and drummer Andy Hurley. The band originated from Chicago's hard-core punk scene, with which Wentz was heavily involved. The group was formed by Wentz and Trohman as a pop punk side project of their respective hard-core bands, and Stump joined shortly thereafter. The group went through a succession of drummers before landing Hurley and recording their debut album which became a huge success.
... acoustic jam that had the crowd swaying to its lifting rhythms and happy-go-lucky lyrics. He then promised to play a little bit of “East Coast and West Coast hip-hop,” a promise he fulfilled near the end of his set by covering a song from both A$AP Rocky and Kendrick Lamar.
Although “Reasonable Doubt” wasn’t a huge success, it showed that the young man from Brooklyn had skills and was not to be taken lightly. More importantly, it earned the admirations from stars as varied from Notorious B.I.G. to Ice Cube. One of his songs even made its way onto the nutty professor soundtrack.
Ferrell had a rough start on SNL. However, he had gladly won the hearts of viewers as he did more impressions and skits (“Biography”). Some of his most famous spot-on impressions included James Lipton, Harry Caray, Alex Trebek, Neil Diamond, and perhaps most famously George Bush. His most famous sketches include “The Spartan Cheerleader,” “Celebrity Jeopardy,” and “More Cowbell.”
... song entitled “Formation”. The filming took place in Los Angeles, but features references to Hurricane Katrina, with Beyoncé on top of a police car in a flooded street and later cuts to a man holding a newspaper with Martin Luther King Jr.’s face on it with the title “The Truth”. Later a young hooded boy dances in front of a line of police officers with their hands up before the video cuts to a graffitied wall with the words “stop shooting us “ tagged on it, at the end of the video the police car sunk with her on top. Not only did this song, bring awareness to the 10th anniversary of hurricane Katrina it also brought awareness to police brutality, racism, and the “black lives matter movement”. I stand with Lil Wayne, Beyoncé, the people of New Orleans and the countless others who are pushing for a change in the way minorities and the lower class citizen are treated.

Humor is an intriguing aspect of our life that makes us happy when we are sad, and keeps us upbeat when with friends. The title that I chose was the Broadway performance from Will Ferrell in Will Ferrell: You 're Welcome America. A Final Night with George W. Bush. Will Ferrell portrays the 43rd President of the United States, George W. Bush, as he reflects on a variety of incidents and occurrences that happened while serving the United States from 2001-2009. The humor speaks primarily to people who are politically savvy and especially know the major points in Bush’s presidency. Ferrell highlights key points such as Hurricane Katrina, the 2000 Presidential election, and the inauguration of President Barack Obama. In “You 're Welcome America,” the target audience is political savvy individuals who are well informed with politics and followed the Bush presidency closely. The humor most associated with this material is stand-up comedy, and irony with a few political jokes smashed in between, with Will Ferrell proving his worth cracking jokes as the wiseass George W. Bush. Overall, I find this comedy to be hilarious, while others struggle with many of the jokes because the audience needs to be “in the know” with

The style of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, was in harmony with the feelings and thoughts of the gay community. This song impacted the way rap was perceived with its different views on reality and the way it called for change was next to Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror” (Henderson). This song caused a change in the straight community and also brought up the old memories of the sensitive topic of the civil war that is was compared to rationally. This is a topic that has been debated for years on end, whether religion should control the LGBT community, or whether it is more on the side of human rights. The support that this one song has brought through the Washington Referendum Seventy-Four, has shown homosexual individuals that their voice can be heard not only by especially a gay male or female but by a straight male artist that sees a desperate need to have change. The reality of this piece has won awards such as “MTV Video Music Award for Best Video with a Social Message” and was performed at the Grammys (“Washington Same-Sex Veto”). A change is bound to happen and with this vigorous song the world should no longer hide in
