“Child abuse eats a shadow the length of a lifetime”(Ward). Every year more than 3 million reports of child abuse are made in the United States. When you think of child abuse, you would probably think who would hurt an innocent child. A innocent child who barely can do anything for him/herself. Child abuse is so evil and devastating, to think a parent or guardian would just abuse a child for no reason. Through this essay you will get a understanding of how we can help get involved with reducing the risk of child abuse.

The last abuse out of the four is Child Neglect. Child Neglect is when a parent or caregiver does not give the care, supervision, affection and support needed for a child’s health, safety and well-being.(“What is child abuse”) When you neglect a child you’re giving them that feeling of hate and being unwanted. There are four different types of neglect, Physical Neglect, Emotional Neglect, Medical Neglect, and Educational Neglect.(“What is child abuse”) Showing Neglect to a child can be things such as frequently unsupervised, Clothes ill-fitting, Untreated illnesses, etc.(“Child abuse and Neglect”). No child wants to feel that way, they want love and comfort from you as a parent or caregiver. Knowing that their are many kids getting abused family members, teachers, counselors, etc. Should know the signs of any of the abuses, so they can help and report it.
