Recommended: Effects of child labor

Children as young as five years old stand outside in the scorching heat working from sunrise to sunset. Others are stuck in old warehouses making hundreds of items by scratch. Many of them obtain injuries and serious illnesses from working under such harsh conditions. Imagine small children nearly starved striving to get through their rough day of work to prepare for the next one. All of these kids deserve the opportunity to receive an education and a fun. Exciting life. There are nearly 168 million child laborers between the ages of 5 and 17 years old from both ends of the earth. Child Labor is a very serious issue all around the world and must be stopped.

22,000 children are killed every year- 2 every hour. The money companies and individual slave traders get from those working kids, is money that could get these children new clothes, or new tennis shoes for playing outside. These young kids are our world's future. They are our future generations that will take care of us when we're old and incapable of taking care of ourselves. Those children are the ones who will carry on the names and businesses that we own. They are the ones that will continue to help the world grow as a whole with new technology and advances in our community. They are our future. By working as young slaves, they are unable to do any of these things. They will be stuck working countless hours on crops and picking tobacco and things for chocolate instead of studying for the math test they could have the next day. They will be stuck making shoes in a factory instead of getting to wear a pair of them. There will be no future without a next successful generation of children to carry on the work we have
