Growing up being the oldest of 5 I know the challenges that it takes to look after a young child and the skills needed to keep a child entertained and focused. I have always enjoyed working and looking after children and watching them thrive and develop in what they do. The satisfaction of helping a child and seeing them succeed is what has motivated me to want to study child education.
Whilst studying psychology at A-level it has given me a deeper understanding on the critical need for a child to be in an environment which helps them develop and function in society properly. The skills I’ve learnt from psychology such as essay writing skills and being able to evaluate theories and see an argument from both sides are skills which I feel I would be able to transfer across to my studies at university.
Along with psychology I also am studying media, economics and business, accountancy and economics. With media studies I feel that this allowed me to show my creative side when composing my media coursework. When working with children I feel as if you need to have a creative in the way you go about teaching children, especially young children. No child will effectively learn by staring at a board all day, they need that excitement to learn which I want to be able to get children to do.

I started off as a Christmas temp but my enthusiasm and determination to get things done in the work place saw me to require a permanent position. I started off as a on the woman's accessories department and have worked my up to work on the jewellery and watches counter. Working on the jewellery and watches counter requires greater responsibilities and product knowledge.
