Child Abuse is so much more extended than just doubts and pain.

Child Abuse is a topic that may hit some hard and unwillingly, but it’s something that needs notice in this world. Generations have attempted numerous times to try to stop and help this issue. Laws have been passed, organizations to help the wounded soul, and countless other options to help the struggle. This issue comes and scars so many children throughout the country of the US, so let their voices be heard in empathy and passion. Let the violence towards children slowly come to a halt and let it stay that way in endless rest. Child abuse is painfully wrong, traumatizing, and affecting millions of children everyday, child abuse can be helped and prevented if people wished to in the US.

Children from ages 1-16 still face child abuse, and the pessimistic thing is that when children grow the scaring stays and follows them like a ghost of the past. Some, they grow up and have a family of their own and have kids, but the only issues are that they have …show more content…

The frequency of women who had been abused as children was much greater than we had thought. We soon had 4 groups and more than 50 names on a waiting list. I learned about the tremendous cost of keeping the family secret. I learned of the emotional pain that can result from feeling different. As an educator I was appalled at my previous lack of awareness of the consequences of abuse. I vowed to somehow assist in giving a voice to those survivors who can teach us what it was to live with abuse and how to help today's

It is disheartening to read countless stories of future generations being harmed to the extent of psychological damage or even death. Child abuse as a whole has been addressed multiple times in various news blogs, however, nothing has been done to work towards abolishing it at a larger level. The future of America is in jeopardy based on the level of abuse that children endure. Childhelp states that approximately 5 children die every day at the hands of child abuse. America struggles to find equality, and by bystanding the stripping of its youth, continual prolonging is inevitable. Raising this nation’s children in means of nurturing and care is the first step to uplifting America as a whole. In 2012 alone, 1593 of America’s children died at the hands of child abuse, 70.3% of which were younger than the age of three (Safe Horizon). In order to prevent further child abuse, the American government should address stricter child protection laws, psychological stability, and an increase the recognition of those that have released their stories.

    Although most women have cover up stories for their injuries, it is often very apparent they were attacked. I resonated so much to these women, because I myself am a survivor of assault. My personal identity has developed so much since my own experience, but I could understand the feelings of inferiority and loneliness these women were experiencing. As a volunteer I made it extremely important to provide nothing but love, compassion and support to these women. The assaults that I have witnessed include a husband who gashed a glass bottle of tequila on his wife 's face, a woman whose arm was broken during an altercation and a young girl whose face was severely beaten. These three cases were important to me as an individual, because I can understand the embarrassment and fear these women all felt when coming into an emergency room. To tell someone that they were vulnerable is very difficult to express and cope with, therefore it was important to me to still provide them with dignity and respect. Abuse is not something that is often talked about in our society, but it often occurs and this experience gave me more awareness. From one of these women I helped, I heard her talking to her boyfriend on the phone saying, "You will never do this to me again" and I could only hope that she kept to her word.
