I think that Chew On This was shocking. I'm surprised by how many injuries there are in a slaughterhouse I think there are way more than 10 injuries. Some facts that I learned from reading this book is that chickens can run around without their head and that some foods are made with food dye. Before we use to get our meats from ranchers but now we get our meats from feedlots which don't treat their animals right. It comes from feedlots but they dont treat the animals right there for examples as it says on pages 172-174 “The construction of huge feedlots, slaughterhouses, and hamburger grinders has made it easier for E. coli O157:H7 and other nasty germs to spread through the nation's food supply.” They let the animal get sick and if they are sick then whatever they had when we eat the meat from that animal we could get what the animal had if it’s humanly possible. We might even get sicker than the animal and we would be in a lot of trouble. That’s why they made this book, so they can teach you about all the dangers that come with
