Presidential Qualities There are many different qualities people believe a president should contain. For centuries the United States has gone through their fair share of good presidents, and bad ones. Presidential qualities make up whether a president was considered a good leader, or a not so good leader. The three presidential qualities I believe every president should contain are, a strong vision, strong leadership, and has to be a public servant. Many presidents in the past did not have a strong vision and this is why I believe they failed at their presidency. A strong vision for our country is a very important thing to have while you are president. Lincoln Is one example of having a prime strong vision for our country. With doing this he passed a law that nobody had ever thought of passing. Jimmy Carter was also a great example of a president that had a strong vision and ran with it. he, “delivered an A-to-Z, from abortion to Zaire.” This explains Carter’s strong vision is he knew he had a long list of things to do, so he started from the top and continued to work his way down. Education was a very big problem during the time Carter was in office, there were many problems with it. While Carter was in office, he felt great about fixing the education problem, so he created the Department of Education. He made the decision to carve out Education from the already overburdened Department. of Health, Education and Welfare and he felt great about this which showed his strong vision for our country. The last president that i believe had a strong vision was Ronald Reagan. Reagan, “Focused on three to four major goals immediately after his election. He hit the ground running and got a large part of his agenda implemented.” Reagan is known to be one of the best presidents our nation has known, he achieved many things during

Jimmy Carter entered the White House in 1977 with the bright glow of public support from the American people, stemming from his outspoken and admiring charisma. He was seen as the hero who could bring the nation out of disparity and restore it back to its golden years. He guaranteed that his government "would be filled with love as are the American People" (qtd. in Slavin 58). Carter characterized himself as honest and aggressi...
A fantastic president would always be trying to come up with new ideas that won't affect people in a bad way. They would need to be great public speakers, honest, powerful, persuasive, and respectful. Most importantly though, they need to be able to lead their country through the specific problems facing them
Becoming a president isn't as easy as we may think. It takes a lot of time and is a big process and involves many people to decide on If he or she will be right for the job.
The institutional approach to studying the presidency focuses on the presidency as an institution. It examines the president’s roles and responsibilities, with an emphasis on the structures and process of the presidency. This approach is helpful for evaluating what presidents do in a systematic way; however, institutional studies of the presidency often emphasize the role of institutions and processes at the expense of individual characteristics such as ideology, power, and personality. Institutional studies are typically case studies or involve quantitative analysis methods.
“Nobody in the world, nobody in history, has ever gotten their freedom by appealing to the morals of the people or individual oppressing them”, is the idea of Abraham Lincoln’s presidential policy. Abraham Lincoln, a Republican, pushed America towards its present ideals. Lincoln’s leadership was practical and hopeful; yet he did not press for the reality of the phrase “All Men Were Created Equal”. I would give him a grade of a B average. He had good intentions, and progressive ideas, but he did not know how to handle them or order them to be passed majority of the time. However, he led the United States through one of the bloodiest, Constitutional wars that America has been in. He proved his worthiness of President among issues such as the
Not a day goes past that without hearing about the presidential candidates. The local polls, debates, drama, and the daily attacks people in the political parties. I hear this information whether I want too or not. One can always be up to date when it comes to the upcoming election either on the television news, or radio, and reading about it in the daily newspaper. And the presidential election seems to be what everyone is talking about or using social media to express their own personal sides. Why wouldn’t it be? It’s not like every year we get a new commander and chief. The presidential election is something that Americans looks forward to every four years. People across our nation get to vote and be part of our great democracy in the
I show respect for everybody and believe that is one of the most important qualities for a president. A president should be able and will to listen to others.
When Mr. Trump speaks, people listen. He is able to articulate and sell his ideas to you. He has had to do a lot of wheeling and dealing trying to acquire real estate, thus being able to persuade people by simply speaking is essential. Ability to Solve Problems Problem solving is another characteristic of effective leaders. You have to be able to take care of situations when they arise.
In my opinion, being a good leader firstly he should be able to take full advantage of favorable circumstance, able to rule the country under a chaotic situation. Besides he made attractive promises to gain popular support, skilled in using of propaganda, amoral. Moreover he should have the organizational ability and has the ambition to make his country powerful in the world. In addition, he could use his words to twist and manipulate the minds of people into believing that what he was saying. Using this power, he could get people to do anything for him, which prove his amorality. He should be skillful in carry out successful policy to bring the country to economic prospect, since economy is very important to a country.
I believe that there are three main character traits that define a good leader; their ability to move a nation with their speeches, their ability to think about and plan for the future of their people and nation, and their ability to be able to command the nation 's forces correctly. All good and well defining character traits that I believe that Adolf Hitler possessed when he came to power in Germany during January 1933.
The president elect must be able to deal with problems this country inherited under President Bush. There are still many issues in the United States that President Bush hasn?t given any attention to. The new president must be able to show the judgment to lead in times of crisis. He should be able to talk, negotiate and compromise whenever a conflict arises.

Presidential elections are the one time of year where people second guess their morals and what they really want our country to look like. The campaigns went from having hard facts to bashing the other candidates to get votes. It’s a way of life for Americans to sit in front of a television and believe every single statement that comes out of politician 's mouths. The people need to come together has one and voice their opinions and their voice. With this year 's election having two unfavorable candidates, it is questionable whether voters should be protesting against the government by submitting blank ballots, electing fictional characters, and throwing rallies at candidates campaigns.
