It is important for a teacher to be well rounded, and do some community outreach, such as volunteering, in order to be a good role model for their students. Having good character is important for everyone to have, not only teachers. But the teachers do inspire the students to have or not to have good character. Finding a way in life can be difficult. Following that way can be even more difficult, especially when it goes against someone's origin. In Acts of Faith, Eboo Patel tells his story of what it was like to struggle through finding himself. Patel asks the question of "How can I create a society of religious pluralism?" throughout the book, and raises implications about what our children are being taught in different societies throughout the world.
Schultz also stressed the importance of a biblical worldview in the teacher. As the leader in each classroom the students will adapt their teacher’s beliefs, values and finally actions. If they are taught by a teacher who holds a dualistic view of dividing the sacred and the secular, or a postmodern or modern worldview, it will adversely affect the ability of that child to develop Christ centered wisdom based upon the Word of God. Worldview stretches throughout almost every facet of our lives and is even an intricate part of work. Christian and secular viewpoints differ immensely when it comes to work. Many Christians believe that work is an intricate part of God’s plan for mankind while the secular viewpoint sees it as more of a personal, everyday activity the serves no more of a purpose that that of personal success. The secular worldview has distorted the context of work and only the Christian worldview can redeem it to its original context.

The Christian realist understands that evil exists as a result of man’s brokenness- each individual by nature is sinful and self-centered. If this is left unchecked, this brokenness will eventually resort to extreme behavior to secure their desire. In an approach to immigration, the Christian realist accepts the laws of the state as the best way to curtail this brokenness in man and uses this to justify a position of not supporting an open border.
