The movie Warm Bodies is undoubtedly a movie that has its own interesting take. It is ideally a zombie - romantic movie whose script is based on a novel of the same title authored by Isaac Marion (2010). The main character leads are R; played by Nicholas Hoult, Julie; played by Teresa Palmer, Nora; played by Analeigh Tipton, and M; played by Rob Corddry. Warm Bodies is not particularly a comic movie, but is instead a carefully woven film that brings into perspective what a kind heart can achieve, and generally, the power of human beings over that which is thought of as evil. Directed by Jonathan Levine (2013), Warm Bodies is not a reflect of warm per se, but is more of a reflection of the power of love and care, not in the sense of human to …show more content…
He is one of the characters that arouse a deep sense of curiosity in the movie. At some point in time, one expects R to tear down Julie into pieces or get into a serious fight with the rest of the zombies, but surprisingly this does not happen throughout the movie. He is intelligent enough to keep his cool, pull exquisite maneuvers to protect Julie, and suppresses his nature for the sole purpose of saving Julie against all expectations. Though he cannot speak other than utter some few words, Levine lets us know what is running in his mind, and this arouses a deep sense of pity to R and his zombie nature. Though he is cold and devoid of warmth that is characteristic of humans who have blood flowing in their bodies, one can see R’s sense of humanity and the strong will to be human again. It is through R’s action that the whole family of zombies reconnects with humans through the help of Julie who, irrespective of his father being the one in charge of killing zombies, finds out that the zombies are not completely wasted, as it was the case with the

Truman Capote finds different ways to humanize the killers throughout his novel In Cold Blood. He begins this novel by explaining the town of Holcomb and the Clutter family. He makes them an honest, loving, wholesome family that play a central role in the town. They play a prominent role in everyone’s lives to create better well-being and opportunity. Capote ends his beginning explanation of the plot by saying, “The suffering. The horror. They were dead. A whole family. Gentle, kindly people, people I knew --- murdered. You had to believe it, because it was really true” (Capote 66). Despite their kindness to the town, someone had the mental drive to murder them. Only a monster could do such a thing --- a mindless beast. However,

...r can not be satisfied. The zombie is a consumer. Zombies are most often used as a metaphor these days for uncontrollable consumerism that plagues our generation. We blindly buy without thinking, either because of a low price, lust, or simply we just want more. We are guilty of “Zombie Consumerism”. Zombie consumerism is evident in George Romeros' film, Dawn of the Dead. In this movie, a shopping mall is where the characters take refuge and becomes the setting in which the humans stay in the battle of the zombies. They gorge themselves in free food and are delighted about having almost everything at their fingertips all to themselves. It sound's perfect. They can consume anything they want and they will be okay, forever. It is ironic then when there is nothing left and they must find new sources of shelter and food and resources, or become the resources themselves.
In the New York Times interview of Richard Preston, the well renowned author of The Hot Zone, is conducted in order to shed some light on the recent Ebola outbreak and the peaked re-interest in his novel. The Hot Zone is articulated as “thriller like” and “horrifying.” Preston uses similar diction and style choices corresponding with his novel. By choosing to use these specific methods he is advertising and promoting The Hot Zone to the audience members that are interested in reading, and reaching out to those who read and enjoyed his novel. Along with characterization, Preston uses descriptions with laminate

...enjoyed when in the company of others who care about you. Without sound design, literary design, visual design, cinematography, or editing, this film based upon Stephen King’s short story, “The Body” would have never come to life, or still be relevant in this day and age. The film manages to convey its themes so well that it is regarded a favorite among many viewers because the messages are easy to understand without it becoming redundant. This film has become a timeless coming-of-age story because it deals with the subjects of life and death as told through the experience of four twelve-year-old boys.
On the surface, one might not find much overtly attractive about Camus’s cold philosophy expressed by Meursault in the cell he spiritually shares with all people awaiting inevitable deaths as the universe watches on with indifference, but there is a freedom that comes with letting go of hope that tries to cover up fear. If society tries to prosecute each person with the moral guilt of those that have been buried, it is liberating to reject those presumptions of guilt. There is a happiness that can be found in that freedom and an appealing strength in being able to face the howls of execration from the spectators of every individual’s march toward death in a benign, indifferent universe.
Zombie, gang, and rival family movies all seem as if they are not similar in the least but, one common characteristic links them all together, a main character who fell in love with someone she is not meant to be with. This common bond originates from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet in which, Juliet serves as the inspiration for the main character in many modern day works. The idea of a young girl falling madly in love with someone whom she is forbidden to associate with is not only appealing but, it is versatile and easily adaptable. Altered versions of Shakespeare’s classic Romeo and Juliet include Warm Bodies, West Side Story, and Baz Luhrmann’s modernized Romeo and Juliet all in which portray Juliet in many different fashions. Her character is not only popular in movies but, also in many songs, television shows, and spin-off plays. Juliet is an extremely recognizable and versatile character who is portrayed in numerous ways in many contemporary works.
In conclusion, the weather- particularly the sun- in The Stranger is key for symbolizing Mersault’s emotions and his attachment to the physical world. Though innate descriptions of the weather are utilized, not all are used to express this type of purpose that Camus intended for it to be. In the first part of Camus’ book, the hot weather and the sun is
