1. Noodles and Needles moved into Ali apartment. Noddles usually sat on the stoop then Ali started coming down there to hang out with him , as they started to become better friends he met Needles. It turns out Needles has a syndrome where he has random outburst. When he had a really bad out burst Ali's mom brought him some knitting yarn and that moved the syndrome to his hands. The yarn that he got was pink so Needles stole some black yarn that was when Ali's mom told Ali that he would eventually get tired of Noodles. for not helping his brother so was his brother but after Ali's dad got the guys that got beat up to leave the them alone they eventually became friends again. 2.
On page 90 Ali is talking to Noodles about how they would get clothes. Then they started arguing about why noodles was mean to his brother. But as they were arguing Ali's dad walked in. Then he decided to ask his dad for the clothes. But his dad said as long has he checks in with him then it's ok, because his dad knew he was up to something. Since he made this decision he was going to the party. This changed him by bringing him and noodles apart because at the party noodles let his brother get beat up so Ali was mad at him. 3. A text to self connection I made is how me and Ali both go to church. This is a connection because he was talk to noodles as he was leaving the church about the party. To be more specific Momo's party's. This is when they got invited to the party. A text to world connection I made is the majority of people in the ghetto are black in the book and real life. This is a connection because almost everyone described in the book was black. 4. I think the theme of this story is be there for you friends and family. I said this because when they went to the party needles was getting beat up and noodles didn't save him. His brother and friend Ali were mad at him. He had to try really hard to get them to like him again. I can relate to this because if I didn't ever stand up for my friend and was always mean I wouldn't have any
friends. 5. My favorite parts of the were when he was at the party, because it was action packed. He only got hit one time but he knocked out almost all of them. But it was also sad because needles got beat bad. My other favorite part was when Ali's dad came back because everyone was so happy in that scene. If one thing could be changed it should be how much info was given about needles and noodles mother. They really didn't tell that much about her.
In the Lilies of the Field by William E. Barrett, Homer and Mother Maria both display straightforward, hardworking, and stubborn character traits. Firstly, Homer and Mother Maria both display a straightforward personality by being brutally honest about their opinions. For example, when Mother Maria asks Homer to build a chapel, Homer speaks his mind by telling her he does not want to build it. Mother Maria shows her straightforward behavior during Homer’s stay at the convent. One morning, when Homer sleeps in late, Mother to becomes extremely upset and is not afraid to show how she feels about him. Secondly, both Homer and Mother Maria display a hardworking spirit. Homer is a hardworking man because after finally agreeing to build the chapel,
Laura Hillenbrand’s novel Unbroken incorporates the improbable life of the main character, Louie Zamperini. She introduces both the inspiring and powerful journey that Louie encounters in his life as he grows up. Hillenbrand looks to and successfully does catch the versatility of the human soul. Zamperini’s story including his involvement in World War II gives a persuasive stage in which the author demonstrates numerous qualities of Louie. Leaving readers to appreciate his courage, quality, grit and above all else, his bravery. “Confident that he was clever resourceful, and bold enough to escape any predicament, [Louie] was almost incapable of discouragement. This brings up the resolution. Danny and Uno play the one thing they bother love, baseball. At the end they have a friendly talk about they’re lives.I feel like the theme of the story is that it’s good to get to know someone. Danny and Uno didn’t get along at first but then they were very good friends towards the end of the story. This also happened with Danny’s mother. Danny’s mother was staying with their step dad and she wanted to leave him at the end. Also, Uno and Danny were fighting cause of baseball and everyone had a grudge against him. Once Uno and Danny start to talk they got along. Therefore, I think the authors theme was to get to know people because of Uno’s and Danny’s friendship. The mood of the story is Fun and serious. During the beginning, Danny didn’t know anyone and was serious about everything. Everyone else was having fun playing baseball
I learned a lot from this book I learned not to get in gangs and stay true to your family. I liked a quote in this story it said “things are rough all over” to me that meant no matter where you are where you go things are going to be rough so just stop running away from problems because it’s just going to create more. Dally and Sodapop both kind of remind me of myself because I don’t care about nothing but I can understand people and the different things they like and nothing don’t scare me. I think the theme of this story is to be your brothers keeper.
Louie Zamperini survived almost two months at sea facing starvation, extreme thirst, and shark attacks. During WWII, Louie was captured and taken to many Japanese prison camps where he was drained emotionally and physically. Though his conditions were obviously not ideal, Louie kept up his lively personality and found ways to take care of himself to survive. In the novel Unbroken, Laura Hillenbrand uses both internal and external conflict to show the theme people can stand up against enemies even when the odds seemed stacked up against them.
Christopher Johnson McCandless, the main character in the book “Into the Wild,” had made a lot of friends even though he did not like people. Wayne Westerberg was one of Chris’s friends who he met in a bar. Chris also befriended a girl named Jan Burre. Another person who befriended Chris was a guy named Ronald Franz,
The three friends learn valuable lessons from the experience they went through; never judge a book by it’s cover, never underestimate their opponents and most importantly, there truly is a difference between a bad character and a bad character wanna-be.
The play “A Raisin in the Sun” by Lorraine Hansberry has many interesting characters. In my opinion, the most fascinating character is Ruth because of her many emotions and captivating personality. She goes through extreme emotions in the play such as happiness, sadness, anger, stress, and confusion. Ruth is very independent, firm, kind, witty, and loving.
How does the author use the interaction between the protagonists and the other characters to explore the central characters journey and what they gain and lose by the end of their story?

There are many themes that occur and can be interpreted differently throughout the novel. The three main themes that stand out most are healing, communication, and relationships.
Noah is the one of the main characters of The Notebook. He is the hero of this novel. Noah represents true love and true loyalty. In a way, The Notebook is similar to every modern day romance movie, and Noah represents the “dream man” that all the girls always imagine of having. The characters in movies are used to symbolize ideas, and in this novel, Noah represents true, faithful, committed love. Noah remains loyal to Allie even in the situation where he is unsure whether they will ever meet again or not.
