Good Luck Sydney As I was growing up one of my favorite television shows was Good Luck Charlie. Good Luck Charlie features a large family consisting of Amy and Bob Duncan who live with their four children Teddy, TJ, Gabe, and Charlie. Throughout the show Teddy documents life advice for her baby sister Charlie through a video camera. Good Luck Charlie relates to me because I come from a large, busy family, I am the eldest child of three in which I hold a lot of responsibility, and I document most of my life through pictures and journals in hopes that my siblings use my experiences to make their experiences easier just as Teddy. To begin with, I relate to the Duncan family in Good Luck Charlie because of their similarities with our family, …show more content…
Teddy gets into a relationship that she does not know how to get out of and at the end of the episode gives Charlie advice on how to choose a good guy. (Good Luck Charlie) On a personal level, I have been in the same situation as Teddy. The advice she gives Charlie is relatable to a lot of relationships. The main character Teddy turns every episode into a life advice video for her younger sister Charlie. (Good Luck Charlie) Like Teddy, I am very close to my sister and ever since she was born have looked out for her. Before I went off to college, I made my sister a box full of envelopes filled with pictures and advice for any situation you can possibly get into throughout high school. Teddy uses the video diary to recap her life every day almost like a diary but with advice. (Good Luck Charlie) When I was little my mom got me into writing in a journal at the end of my day. Every night ever since, I recap my day in a diary. Furthermore, I take pictures and document my life just like Teddy from Good Luck Charlie. In short, I have a lot in common with the characters from the show Good Luck Charlie. Since I have a lot of members in my family, everyday life can get to be bit hectic like the Duncan’s. Being the oldest child in my family I mostly relate to Teddy and PJ with the amount of responsibility they hold. I have documented my life through pictures, videos, and a diary just like Teddy all my life. Ever since I was little I liked Good Luck Charlie, I did not realize I liked it so much because it related to my life in so many
The Nolan family consists of four strong hearted people. The Nolan's are very unique for a family who lives in the slums of Brooklyn; they are a pretty decent family of four. Kate is the beautiful young mother of Francie and Neeley and the wife of Johnny. Kate holds a janitress job to keep her family together and from starving, she is basically the sole provider for the family. Johnny, Kate's drunk husband, is considered to be a good man, but he is nothing but a drunk who, has an off and on again job as a free lance singer/waiter. Their daughter, Francie, who is the main character of the book, is a very intelligent young woman. Francie always wants to do the best in everything that she tries. Last but not least is the youngest Nolan, Neeley. He is Francie's younger brother. He is also loved the most by his mamma. Neeley is Katies Favorite and this is quite obvious. The Nolan's are unique. They have hope that life will get better.
I mostly identify with the main character kit. I mostly identify with her because she likes to try new things and I like to try new things also. I also identify with her because she likes to explore new places, for instan...
People have goals everyday, believe it or not some people think that dreams aren't worth it. I believe that it is worth it to dream because it gives a person a goal, it makes them feel good, and it makes them stronger. I know this from The Pearl, A Cubs video, the Susan Boyle video, and We Beat the streets.
As I continue to watch the show, I find myself identifying myself with some of the characters. Sometimes I even find myself thinking
Family relationships assist me because they help me focus on my family rather than the tragic event that happened. The effect a family has on one another during a time of difficulty is very strong. One might have a mother, a father, and also brothers, sisters, grandparents, etc. These are the people that one will draw closer to in times of need. Besides their spouse, one’s relationship with their mother is the closest relationship one will have with another human being.. For six weeks, Lorri is alone on an island with the two deceased passengers, Josie Archer and Clarence Fuller, and all that she longs for is the accompaniment of her mother. Her only will to live is so that she could be with her mother again since she has not been able to see her for years before because of World War II. In Wick 's book, Every Storm, she says, “ 'Mother, Mother,’ Lorri sobbed, not able to get close enough,” (Wick 93). When one does not have a mother figure, they lose that maternal bond. The relationship between a mother and child is strong because no one will be able to replace ones real mother. This certain situation made me think of how lucky I am to have a mother that cares about me. It also made me think that if I were in the same
To the 20, to the 10, to the 5, touchdown! Charlie Gaines is a football phanatic. He knows all there is to know about football. From his favorite team the Los Angeles Bulldogs to the New England Patriots Charlie knows it all. Above all this Charlie truly wishes he were a better football player like his bosom buddy Kevin Fallon. All in all he is still a decent middle linebacker for the Culver City Cardinals. A kid known as the “Brain” because of his freakishly good ability at fantasy football, Charlie Gaines is a very interesting character.
I see Charlie attempting desperately to act out of character. Adept at business he has shown ability, humility and perseverance. However, he seems to be out of touch with the manifested feelings of others his path has crossed.
Most of the characters in The Hunger Games have strong personalities and unique individual traits; therefore I can strongly relate to Rue and Thresh. Reasons why I think Thresh are strongly related to me because he always isolated to other during the hunger game to survive and also have shows forgiveness to one that helped him before. For Rue’s reason why she is related to me is because she is fast and shy to people he don’t know.
Much work goes into musical , as was the case in “Catch Me If You Can”,which La Joya Middle School drama had the pleasure of watching on January 15, put on by El Diamante High School. The musical was directed by John Sorber and Michael Tackett. This amazing production included many talented actors such as Maverik Dakota Raven starring as Frank Abagnale Jr., Kiley Hoffman playing Brenda Strong, and Jonathan Johns as Carl Hanratty. This incredible play carried a strong lesson. As was seen the protagonist ran from his problems and pretended to be someone who he wasn't. The plot of this story showed us that we can't run from our problems, for that only worsens the situation and is a snowball for our problems.
The Fosters makes me feel as though I am a part of the family every episode. Personally I do not consider having two moms is normal, but I can relate to some of the situations the characters go through because my family is not perfect. The Foster's deal with many different issues: break ups, hook-ups, romances, and important life lessons.
The song “I Get a Kick Out of You” is written and composed by Cole Porter. Porter was well known as one of the prominent songwriters of the 20th century as he was one of the lyricists who was writing his own music and lyrics of most of his songs. Therefore, he’s mostly known for his “Individual songs than complete shows. Porter’s lyrics contain more intellectual references to poetry, philosophy, history, painting and literature than do the lyrics of any other Broadway songwriter. He is best known for the 1934 classic “Anything Goes” and “I Get a Kick Out of You” and for the 1938 Kiss Me, Kate with “Too Darn Hot” and Wunderbar” (Lesson: The Composers of the Broadway). So, beginning 1930s, he wrote many hit songs and one of those hit songs is known as “I get a Kick Out of You.” Which he originally
Peter is the one character that I felt I had a strong connection with in Swing Kids. The connection that I felt is due to all of the hardships and challenges that he went through throughout the movie, or his teenage life. I can relate because as my parents were divorced at the age of five, and yes, I know that it is not even a scratch on the gigantic surface of what Peter went through, but it is was, and still

I felt that I connected the most with Leo throughout the series. He taught me the importance of friendship, and to follow my dreams. Watching the show sparked
In the story, Young Goodman Brown, the character, Goodman Brown changes throughout the story. In the beginning he was a kind man, loving husband with nothing holding him down, not even the warnings of his wife, Faith. As he walked and talked with the Devil, he became more aware of what had happened in the past with his own family. When he saw the Devil talk with Goody Cloyse on the path in the woods, he figured out by the nature of their conversation that the Devil was more mischievous than he thought. He started to have uncertainties about the errand he was on. At that point, Goodman Brown told the devil he was not going another step.
