Imagine going to a place that is peaceful and quiet. A place where no one can judge you. A place where money doesn’t matter. Christopher McCandless decided to go to Alaska. I believe that McCandless was brave and courageous for going to a remote place where he could be himself.
McCandless was brave because he went to Alaska to find his own happiness. McCandless was trying to get to a place where he could be free. You can tell when he says “As for me, I’ve decided that I’m going to live this life for some time to come. The freedom and simple beauty of it is just too good to pass up”(McCandless Qtd. in Krakauer 33). He was doing what made him happy he didn’t care what other people thought.
Many people don't think McCandless was brave they think
