There are many challenges a person must embark when becoming an adult. In Chapter 12, one of the concepts specifies the young adulthood for women and the different challenges they might go through. It is inevitable that a woman must embark on the transitional period of adolescence to young adulthood. This is a time for self-growth and identifying with others. A young woman during the young adulthood cycle must crucially make important choices regarding family, marriage, work, and lifestyle before she has matured to her full potential. For many decades, it was normal for a young woman to marry out of one household and into another. When living with your significant other, you will have to deal with the economical aspect of the household. The finances have to either be equally shared and earned or controlled by one person. Another dimension you have to take under consideration is the emotional aspect of the relationship. Good communication amongst each other will help your relationship thrive. The power aspect of the relationship must be equally distributed. This dimension is very important because you are able to show respect towards one another and not feel inferior towards your partner. This source provided the unique perspective of what was thought to be the perfect household, with a man who worked and a wife who cooked and cleaned. However, it also showed how a woman could also do what a man can do, and in some cases they could do it even better. Emerging Adulthood represents the period of development from late teens through their twenties, mainly focusing on the ages 18-25. This is the period which people start exploring and realizing the capabilities of their lives, which then helps them characterize as adults and no longer teenagers. Late Adulthood is the last stage of human lifespan development. Human beings are complex in many ways that it is essential that we human understand these crucial development stages in our life to better communicate and prepared for them. At this stage of development, organs in adults work differently or maybe slowly. For example, I observed that when someone is approaching my grandma from a far distance, it is hard for her to identify or sometimes seems blurry to see who the person is even if it is someone she knows, until the person move very close to her before she is able to identify the person; this is as a result to low vision related to aging.

Since the middle adulthood is the longest stage of the life cycle, this paper will focus on an individual within the age of 45- 60. Early adulthood revolves around changes and exploration while middle and late adulthood are more of stability. The transition from adolescence and adulthood differs among every individual. The onset of the transition is determined by many factors such as culture, family background, and the personality of the individual. When we think of about rights of passage, most often thoughts that come to our mind are ceremonies like birth, puberty and marriage. Rites of passage are things we experience during our entire lifetime from the beginning to the end. These things, however, are different from initiations because an initiation is something where you have to prove yourself in order to be accepted, but a rite of passage is about a more personal acceptance into your own life. And in my opinion the passage into adulthood is the most important one in a person’s life.
Late Adulthood comes with a great number of things, which typically simply build on what was discovered in Adulthood. The ideal remaining relevant in society is in the forefront; while traditional work may end volunteerism picks up (Berger, 2014). Those that have the ability to work do so in order to maintain social relationships fighting the isolation, and loneliness that is a major problem.
