He did not get started at a young age, he did not have agents all over him trying to get him to act. He was just a normal seventeen-year boy who was just living a normal life. He did not even think about either career until one day on the football his life took a turn. When a hit to the stomach landed him in the emergency room, his life changed. He went to the hospital for a severe hit to the stomach and left with the thought of becoming a model. When he got to the hospital the nurse asked if he had ever thought of becoming a model. magazine. Excited to leave most things behind, his mother showed up at his doorstep when he was eighteen. He opened the door and was speechless, they did not have a real close relationship and he has not seen her in eight years. This same year in 1999 Murray graduated from Clarence High School. "I told myself that if nothing happened in a year, I'd go to college and play football’’. A year later Murray collected all his graduation money and decided to go cross country and try his luck in the entertainment business. He told Buffalo Magazine "I've made decisions for me that some people may not see as proper decisions, but it works for me" (Murray). Murray and his dad packed up his bags and moved him to California. Moving to the big state of California at the young age of eighteen years old was a huge change for Murray. Murray was on a budget and had to make money stretch for as long as possible. For a while, he lived off of fast food and cereal. At the beginning of every week, he would go to the store and buy a box of cereal and a gallon of milk. He would eat cereal every day for breakfast and dinner. For lunch, he had a dollar a day to spend at a fast food chain called Jack In The Box. He would go there every day and buy either a chicken sandwich or a salad to eat. The talent scout that found him, helped Murray find an agent. This agent helped him find a manager and an acting coach. He was not very lucky with the acting business at first until one night he went to a local Burger King, this is where his life changed for the better. While at the Burger King he got jumped by three guys and he broke his nose. He went to the emergency room and got it fixed. A week later he started getting calls from agents asking him to come in and audition. He always wondered why he had never gotten calls before this, but it turns out that his nose was too “pretty” before. With his new found success in the industry, the game was on for Murray to begin lining up acting roles.
