Visitors can rent rowboats or dine overlooking views of The Lake. Boating on The Lake is a beloved pastime from the Park's earliest days. With its charming Victorian architecture, the building also featured a second-story terrace that produced stunning views of the Ramble. By 1950, the boathouse fell into disrepair and was soon torn down. The Loeb Boathouse that people visit today opened at the Lake's northeastern tip in 1954. Inside are a formal dining room and a cafeteria that has a welcoming fireplace to keep cosy and warm during the winter. Also, the Boathouse serves as the unofficial quarters for birdwatchers who can record their sightings in a notebook that is stored inside the
Like a Victorian confection reflected in the waters of Central Park's Lake, the Bow Bridge gracefully unites lovers of New York in real life. The Bridge has been a majestic setting in films such as Manhattan, The Way We Were and Keeping the Faith. The bridge also provides the perfect perch to watch the slowly moving rowboats as they glide across the lake, or to photograph the skyline over Fifth Ave. It is one of the most popular and best-known spots to meet and has entertained infinite romantic moments, both on and off movie screens. Bow Bridge is located mid-Park at 74th St., west of Bethesda Terrace connecting Cherry Hill and the
The Lafayette Club on beautiful Lake Minnetonka was first built in 1882. It was known as the nicest place in town and it had 300 guest rooms. Everyone wanted to go there but only the rich could afford to stay there. In 1897 it was burned down in a fire and Mr. Hill, the owner, then decided to build a new one. This beautiful hotel on the lake was made out of wood and sadly, 20 years later, it burned down again! Again, a new one was built because the property it was on was too beautiful to stay empty. By 1925 the brand new club was built to last and made with concrete. It is still there today.
Like many parks in New York City, Prospect Park fell into decline after World War II but was revitalized thanks in large part to the establishment of the Prospect Park Alliance in 1987. Today the park is known as Brooklyn’s crown jewel and hosts nearly 10 million visitors each year as well as popular food festivals, concerts and other
This park is an ideal setting, because the story is based on football, which is mostly played in a park like setting. Not only this, but the genre of the novel is realistic fiction, and parks are not only found in books, but in reality as well. Coppo Park is described as a large area with many people walking around and playing. I would consider visiting this place, because it is similar to parks in my town, which I always enjoy visiting. In addition to this, I would consider visiting Coppo Park, because it seems as though it is a serene setting, which is different than the usual hustle of one’s daily life. Also making Coppo Park an ideal setting. The author describes, “Coppo Park was one of their favorite places in town... A bench was positioned perfectly in the morning sun, so that even in the middle of winter you could sit without a coat on and remember what summer felt like” (Lupica 29). Coppo Park is an ideal setting, because it is realistic. Something is considered “ideal” when it satisfies what one thinks is perfect. A park is found in almost every town, but Coppo Park according to Nate and Abby is different than the rest. With its perfectly positioned bench and serene setting, Coppo Park is definitely an ideal
so near to London, and with so many ways of getting to the park, it

This thirty two thousand acre national park is nestled between Clevelands suburbs and Akron and covers twenty two miles of the Cuyahoga River. With this in mind, Chicago is a wonderful place to visit and live, however it does have it light and dark side. Millions of people visited Chicago for it cultural events, annual festivals, to walk, jog, or ride a bike along the lakefront. Visit the Planetarium, museums, Art Institute or ride up to the 103rd floor of Willis Tower. Take in a movie go shopping down Michigan Ave, or State Street. Nevertheless, be careful of the dangers hidden in some of the neighborhoods in Chicago.
Every morning in Hazel Park, the clomping of horses’ hooves is heard as they gallop along a sandy track at Ten Mile and Dequinder.
When you think of the Eastern Shore, you may think of seafood, beaches, annoying tourists, and other attractions. But, a more interesting thing that people don’t immediately think of are hauntings. Hauntings of the Eastern Shore are unique and interesting things that also influence our culture. There are many myths, attractions, places, museums, and interesting stories from different people. Not all paranormal activity is the same, they all have a uniquely fascinating story behind them that makes the Eastern Shore unique. “Each year, in the Fall, haunted houses, hayrides, and trails find a new and creepier way to scare Marylanders” (Cockrum).
The city of Santa Cruz, originally named San Lorenzo, was discovered in 1769 by the Spanish explorer Gaspar de Portolà. The city continued to expand and eventually became known as Santa Cruz, meaning "Holy Cross", in honour of the local mission. By the 1820s Mexico had assumed control of the area and Americans began to arrive in great numbers over the next thirty years. California became a state in 1850, and Santa Cruz County was created as one of the twenty-seven original counties.
The park offers guests nightly accommodations among the ancient dunes. Onsite campgrounds and bathhouses give overnighters a private, but a convenient way to make a stay of it. And, tree-hugger straps encourage hammock camping.
A beautiful city full of life and joy is the best way to describe South Bend, Indiana. A vast 100,000 citizens strong, South Bend is a well diverse community. From Coahuila Mexico, over 20 years ago my parents moved to this city to provide our family with a better life. Just like everything else in life, South Bend continues to change by the minute. It is full of improvements and developments to grow into a larger and better known city. As beautiful as South Bend is to me, South Bend is like Chicago in the eyes of a foreigner.
Bourbon Street known as rue bourbon in French sits in the heart of one of the oldest neighborhoods in New Orleans called the French Quarters. I called Bourbon Street an all-night party. Most people come from all around the world to enjoy the festivities. They also have locals that will go on Bourbon to have a nice time. Bourbon Street can also be like Halloween, you do not know if you are getting a trick or treat.
When you associate anything with New York City it is usually the extraordinary buildings that pierce the sky or the congested sidewalks with people desperate to shop in the famous stores in which celebrities dwell. Even with my short visit there I found myself lost within the Big Apple. The voices of the never-ending attractions call out and envelop you in their awe. The streets are filled with an atmosphere that is like a young child on a shopping spree in a candy store. Although your feet swelter from the continuous walking, you find yourself pressing on with the yearning to discover the 'New York Experience'.
Just mention Hollywood and visions of splendor and stylish living come to the minds of many people. If you're thinking in terms of film locations near a destination spot such as Universal City CA, then there's no better place to begin than at our state-of-the-art Wilshire Blvd. facility. Why?
Without a doubt, Times Square in New York City is a unique experience, but the image created by TV and movies does not show the gloominess that accompanies the euphoria of being in the Big Apple. The atmosphere is so exhilarating and exciting, you don’t even know what to do for a few minutes, but it is tinged with the bitter reality that sadness and melancholy also trail closely behind the positive. With most, if not all, of your senses being stimulated – sometimes all at once – Times Square creates a memory that will surely be cherished, and haunt you for the rest of your life.
