I woke up early in the morning with pure excitement. Today, I was heading to Cedar Point with my long time close friend, Sarah. The sun was shining, it was the perfect mood to go to an amusement park. My mom and I drove through the flat cornfields of Ohio, to her farmhouse. Once I picked up Sarah, we were headed to America’s Rockin’ Roller-Coast also known as Cedar Point. Cedar Point is on a peninsula surrounded by the fresh waters of Lake Erie located . It's actually quite nice, if you don't include the often high winds which often force the employees to close the rides due to the high risk of liability and the frequent nats. The Dragster is sitting smack dab in the middle of the park's midway. The height makes the dragster something that you can’t miss, especially on the causeway. …show more content…
Sarah, with her energeticness, found a way to persuade me to finally ride the dragster. My heart was pounding loudly with quasi-hesitation. With that fast pass that I won during a game of plinko, we had to wait 5 at the most for the front row of the train. It was a better choice than having to “patiently” wait in a one hour line with the hot sun baking your back. We were only a few launches away from moving into the ride station. The theme song, “Ready to Go” by Republica, was being played in the station. When I heard this song, I felt everything but “ready to go.” There were two seats across per row on each train which didn’t make the regular line go faster. All I could think about was the death-defying plunge down the one unbelievable 420-foot hill, I had pre-ride jitters. The train moved to the “starting line”, also known as the launch area. My thin legs trembled as I thought, this is it. Ever since that first glance, my heart rate increased. I heard a loud motor revving sound effect. Arms down, head back, and hold on. I found the brief message nettlesome, because it was frequently

Crossing paths with a mountain lion really changed my perception of how dangerous the wilderness was. I was wearing my black and red striped sweater that had a little hole under my left armpit with my charcoal black sweats that barely covered my ankles due to the shortness in length and wearing my favorite black and white sketchers which were ripped by the toes so, I was able to stick my big toe out of my show. I was walking around the edge of my grandparents ten acre property at around noon because the world around me was really bright, with every step I took crunched due to the deepness of the pale white ice which covered the floor about four inches deep.
Montana, the state known for being the fourth largest state in the United States. Glacier National park is there in the northern part, close to the canadian border. I had the joy -and misfortune- of visiting a couple years ago. The air at 15,000 feet is cool and crisp, and there is a slight breeze. Nothing overpowering but enough to be noticed. Given the joys of living in the northern Michigan where everyone simply called it God’s country, a breeze like this was completely normal and none of us had noticed it. If it hadn’t been for an unfortunate mistake on my part, I probably would have never noticed it. We had just stopped to take a look at the gorge that had formed where the water that had melted off the glacier and surrounding snowfall
We sat down, on the ride, and the warm bars hugged around our chest. . I screamed one million times more than the little kids sitting next to me. The day went on and the sweet winds danced through the air. The excitement of Bailey, I, and the other people grew as we approached the bigger rides. After riding everything, the sky was starting to go to sleep. Because my stomach was in a whirl, I had to face my fear. We were standing in line of the Top Thrill Dragster. When I was standing there I was nervous with big eyes and my jaw wide open it could touch the ground.

The first ride on one of these fantastic beasts gave me an instant rush of adrenaline. As the death-defying ride started, a lump in my throat pulsed like a dislodged heart ready to walk the plank. As the ride gained speed, the resistance to gravity built up against my body until I was unable to move. An almost imperceptible pause as the wheel reached the top of its climb allowed my body to relax in a brief state of normalcy. Then there was an assault of stomach-turning weightlessness as the machine continued its rotation and I descended back toward the earth. A cymbal-like crash vibrated through the air as the wheel reached bottom, and much to my surprise I began to rise again.
I stood there, trying not to tremble. I anxiously counted the people in front of me and realized that after this next cart it would be my turn. The people ahead loaded up, the ride workers checked the lap bars, and then off they went, heading up the hill. Everyone in line, including myself, moved up to fill up the void left by the people who had just loaded on. I must have been shaking a bit because my sister who was behind me tried to calm me down.

...vy urban dance tracks accompanying the rides are making my heart wallop so hard that I can’t stop jumping up and down with the unbalanced rhythm. As the night gets eerie and cold, the deafening screams and screeches slowly gets quieter and tranquil. The rides come to a halt. One by one the lights turn off leaving the twinkling stars to once again regain their glory. Exhausted, flushed faces rush past each other over the drink cans and crisp packets that lay lazily embedded and forgotten about on the underfoot of the mosaic of feet of people rushing to reach the exit before the huge congestion takes place. The humidity of the swarms of people starts to make my skin feel clammy. My parents, my friend and I follow the rest of the exhausted crowd towards the large gates. I clutch my new friend to my chest and glide happily out of the gates, into the mysterious darkness.
