As it's well known, the world has been totally changed after the first world war. New countries have been created, and other countries have dismissed. What do you think was the reason of that war to be started? Why do people call this war " world war"? What happened when this war had been ended? In particularly, this war caused several losses and profits at the same time.
Firstly, Many people around the world don't know what was the mean reason of the first world war. Important to know at that time, there was no law protects countries to be attacked, in another world, the survival of the fittest. At the time the world was splitted into three sections. countries as another part, and Persia and the Soviet Union as the last part. At that time the power was almost equal between these parts. All of them have weapons, solders, and money. However, all of these countries were looking for natural sources of living. Ottoman Empire and Arab countries had most of these sources, which made other countries coveted in this land. All of sudden, the whole world faced an economic boom. This is to say, America and Europeans had planned to control some of Africa countries that they didn't have the ability to define their countries. Moreover, They found nothing worthy in these lands. That made them move further to Arab countries. Having said that, Ottoman Empire had to face this attack. Suddenly, Persia and the Soviet Union decided to join this war, which made the joined this war was the same reason an economic boom. They had thoughts that Ottoman Empire and Arab countries were weak enough to bet them. Taking advantage of closing the gab between them and Arab countries. Secondly, people started calling that war as the world war because of two reason.
The first reason was all countries involved in this war. It had started with three countries. By the time, the number of countries were increasing. Some countries were attacking and other countries were defending their regains. The second reason was people thoughts that there would never happen another world after this world gets ended. They had these thoughts because it caused a lot casualties.
Thirdly, the result of the first world war caused many changes in the world. Some countries were created, such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and some other small countries. Likewise, Some impairs and countries were disappeared, such as Ottoman impair, the Soviet Union, and other small countries. In addition, weapons have been developed. Russia, America and the United Kingdom developed defensive and offensive capabilities.
Above all, It's been considered that the first world war caused many changes in the world. Some changes have not changed till now. For sure, wars always cause losses, but some hidden hands get advantages of wars. Regardless which country has the right, any thing can be solved by discussions. In my opinion, in thesedays, we don't need to fight, we need to live in
pace.
World War I, also referred to as the Great War, was global conflict among the greatest Western powers and beyond. From 1914-1918, this turf war swept across rivaling nations, intensifying oppositions and battling until victory was declared. World War I was immediately triggered by the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand, however several long-term causes also contributed. The growing development of militarism, the eruption of powerful alliances, as well as the spread of imperialism, and a deepening sense of nationalism, significantly promoted to the outbreak of the Great War.
“War is unorganized murder, and nothing else” (Harry Patch). In World War 1, which was first called the Great War, there were many causes of the war breaking out. The Great War started August 1st 1914 days later after the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, Sophia, when they visited Bosnia. Many soldiers went to war for no reason but to fight for their country. The Great War was not only affected by the soldiers, but also by the civilians as well. Women replaced men in factories, offices, and shops while the men were at war so that everything would be working smoothly. The main underlying causes of World War 1 were the alliances and imperialism in Europe.
There are many reason why the world plunged into its first world war. There were over a half a dozen mutual protection pacts that forced other countries to enter the war. The fact that countries were in an arms race well before the war is a leading cause. Also Imperialism led to war because European countries had territories in Africa and A...
In the summer of 1914, Europe went to war, many expected the war to be short but it lasted four long and terrible years. World War 1 began in August 1914 and ended by the end of 1918. In result of the World War 1, ten million soldiers died and 20 million had been wounded. World War 1 was mainly caused by militarism, imperialism, alliances, and nationalism, but it was triggered by the assassination of the Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife. The assassination took place on June 28, 1914, by Gavrilo. Nevertheless, What Was the Underlying Cause of World War 1? Militarism, Imperialism, and Nationalism are the most important causes of World War 1.
There were many causes of World War 1 and one of the causes was Militarism.Militarism was a leading cause to WWI because the military had control over everything. In document 7 it shows how much money each country invested into their Army and Navy. These lead to the WW1 because with
World War I which was known as a war that ended all the other wars and as the Great War finally came to an end in 1918 changing life in many countries especially in the United States of America either in a negative or positive way. World War I was a war fought from the years 1914 to 1918 in Europe between members of the Triple Alliance and Triple Entente. The triple entente was formed of people from Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, and the United States. The triple alliance on the other hand consisted of members of Germany, Austria-Hungary, Turkey, and Bulgaria. The Great War brought many changes throughout the whole world. One of the countries that was reshaped after the Great War was the United States. Life in the United States after World War I was no longer the same.
It may seem like wars start abruptly, with little cause, but usually there is a bigger story. New policies, lack of equality, military influence, and too much government involvement usually stir up the peace initially. These turn the country or area into a ‘powder keg’, ready to explode into war at the smallest spark. Although the assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand was the spark of World War I, policies at the time like nationalism and militarism were the underlying causes of the war.
World War I, was not only a dispute among nations, but also affected thousands of people
Great War, also known as The First World War, lasted for four year (1914 to 1918). It brought a huge development of war technics and weapons. More number of countries had been involved in the Great War than any previous war. It involved the mobilization of the whole nations, not just an enormous army that turned the war into a “total war”. (Clare 6) However, historians are still arguing about the major cause of the World War I. The major cause will be one of the four long-term causes of WWI, which are Militarism, Alliance, Imperialism, and Nationalism. In my opinion, the two major causes would be Alliance and Nationalism. Alliance is an association between two or more countries for mutual benefits that formed with different treaties, while Nationalism is feeling and principles of patriotic.
They are many ways to approach a conflict in order to find a resolution. For minimal actions people are often willing to talk about it, but for major actions the solutions to those problems are usually acted out by violence thus, the creation of war. For many centuries countries have been going to war over disagreements. However, it is not any type of disagreements; it is usually about the political beliefs of certain countries. In fact, World War 1 was caused by the disagreements of the European countries in power which were Great Britain, France, Russia, Germany and Austria-Hungary. Some of the countries had a difference of opinion concerning political values on ruling the country. Some were in favour of nationalism, imperialism, or militarism which caused physical conflict and created war. (Duffy) Many soldiers had to go fight to represent their country and make them proud. Many novels have been written to explain to the people how the war had a psychological impact on the soldiers who participated in The Great War, but in the novel All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque he explains the true depth of war by implicating his knowledge of his days as a German soldier fighting on the western front. Remarque’s awful war experience influenced him to write his novel to show the realistic brutality of war by graphic violence, the emotional impacts on the privates as well as the impact of nationalism by the Germans.
Another reason for the great conflict between countries is all the alliances that where made. An example is the alliance made between France and Britain as told in a French statement by Raymond . "Supported by the loyal friendship of England." Another example to show alliances is the Triple Alliance. The Triple Alliance consisted of Germany, Italy, and Austria-Hungary. This is what historyonthenet.com had to say "Germany and Austria-Hungary made an alliance with Italy to stop them from taking sides with Russia." This tells the reader that some alliances weren't made because they wanted to, they where made for their own protection from other countries. This was a big part of WWI. Multiple countries would make alliances with each other and when countries weren't included, they would feel betrayed and mad. Many more alliances were made many caused conflict between each other these all led up to WWI.
In August of 1914, a war today known as World War I began. The World War 1 began as a war locally between Austria-Hungary and Serbia. It eventually grew into a war involving thirty-two different countries. The allies involved in World War 1 included Britain, France, Russia, Italy and the United States. These countries fought against Germany, Ottoman Empire, Austria-Hungary, and Bulgaria. A question frequently asked by many people is, what really caused World War 1 to happen. There are several different causes people believe that started World War I. Three causes mostly believed to be what started World War I are imperialism, nationalism, and militarism.
The underlying cause of World War I was the build up of Nationalism, Imperialism, and Militarism in the 1800s. The “three isms” caused this great war due to the outcry in which they caused within the countries and their citizens including military build up, severe nationalism, patriotism, and extending a country 's power and influence through diplomacy or military force.
The causes of World War One and World War Two can be traced back to political and economical roots. During the times prior, during, and post both the wars, all of the involved countries were making reckless political decisions, for example: excessive alliances that were both confusing and contradictive of purpose or treaties that had their fingers pointing a little too much at one country. Also during both World War One and World War Two, all of the countries were had little to no government, economically speaking, but that didn’t stop them from spending all of their money and using all of their other resources in order to have the biggest and the best armies, did it?
In my opinion WW1 was an unnecessary global conflict in which 22 million people needlessly lost their lives. I think that this conflict could have be prevented or stopped in 2 ways.
