When slavery originated it was made up of indentured servants, yeomen, and the wealthy plantation owners. Indentured servants were mostly from England and came over to America in the 17th century. The wealthy plantation owners were families that were slave owners. They made their money by making slaves complete tasks in which returned great profits.
