Catapults are objects that have been used in many cases of war or even work. Catapults are used all over the world. People might recognize them more when they see a movie like 300. catapults are large objects that people like I said before would use for war or for there type of work. Most jobs today do use catapults but they look different. The modern day ones look more advanced.
What is a catapult? A catapult is a machine that launches an item several yards. We used catapults in war because of their speed and their launching distance. We use them mostly for business and for shipment. of course catapults today look more modern so you won’t recognize them. For example we use them in airports and we use them in factory’s. In some other places around the world people still do use them.
Do I think catapults have evolved in today’s society? Yes I do and I know they have and so does everyone else who lives in America. Like I said before we used them for war. Now we use them for work and daily tasks. Catapults are so old and so helpful that I do think catapults will always be helpful in our society.
Do I think that catapults will help me in my line of work? No. I don’t think they will because what I plan to do has nothing to with launching things from a machine. What I plan to do is work with other people and use very little electricity.
The majority of my information I learned in class and online research. The things I learned in class where mostly about distance and about the way a catapult is built. i learned that a catapult could be more useful than throwing things across a yard. Why throw things when you can launch them further and faster. In class we did not launch allot of things. we only launched clay that we did have to measure ourselves so we can get accurate

The population of the whooping cranes most definitely gets affected from precipitation, because the population gets affected negatively with high precipitation levels present, while positively with low precipitation levels. Instead of using arrows, people could easily shoot a gun. Early guns were lit by a match and therefore it took a long time to light the match. Gunpowder was also used in bombs. The mixture consisted of charcoal and iron pieces. The bombs would then be catapulted forward to the enemy and then explode. BY the late 1300s, gunpowder had reached the European nations and was used in the French and English military.
“Volley Guns” (Chivers, 2010, p.26) or also known as “Organ Guns” (Ellis, 1975, p.10) were first attempts at increasing firepower by adding several barrels at the firing itself, rather than simply attempting to increase the rate of fire. “Gunsmiths had long ago learned to place barrels side by side on frames to create firearms capable of discharging projectiles in rapid succession. These unwieldy devices, or volley guns, were capable in theory of blasting a hole in a line of advancing soldiers” (Chivers, 2010, p.26). An example of such weapons can be seen on July 28, 1835 when Giuseppe Fieshi unleashed terror on King Louis-Phillipe in Paris, France. He fired his 25 barrel “volley gun”, killing 18 of the king's entourage and grazing the King's skull. The weapon was ineffective however. Four of the barrels failed and another four ruptured. Since the discovery of gunpowder by the Chinese, the world as we know it has made more efficient and powerful weapons. Throughout the history of warfare from the medieval times to present day, explosives have been used as an Offensive and Defensive weapon. When a castle or army was under siege the attacking army would surround the objective and cut off all supply lines and try to starve the enemy into submission. With the invention of gunpowder it made the siege obsolete. This was empowered by the cannon and other forms of field artillery, which allowed the objective to be overthrown quickly. Within the past few years an emphasis has been placed upon demining war torn countries that are ravaged by unclaimed and unaccounted mines emplaced by the host nation. This action is being undertaken to make the countries safer for the citizens of those countries. Throughout history stalemates have occurred during war, Engineers or Soldiers with knowledge of explosives were called upon to end the stalemate.
