Challengers of social networking say that the sites prevent face-to-face communication, waste time on frivolous activity and spread false and potentially dangerous information.
Although many people around the world use social networking, it should only be used as a tool. There will always be social networking although the practical aspects may change. People will continue to benefit from sharing ideas, theories and discussions. It cannot become our main form of communication and interaction. There are positives to this new technology but nowhere do these positives outweigh the negatives. There is nothing that can substitute personal interaction. This type of technology might be doing more harm than good.
