Carrie Underwood would be a great candidate to come speak to our school. Carrie Underwood rose to fame by winning American Idol in 2005. She released her first single “Inside Your Heart” in 2005 and it debuted on the Billboard Hot 100. Carrie was the first country artist to debut number 1 in the Hot 100. She realised the album ‘Some Hearts” in 2006 which became the best-selling album of 2006.
Carrie Underwood has won 136 awards and has been nominated for 187. Some of them include: Single Record of the Year, Top New Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Entertainer of the Year. From the PETA to standing up to cancer, she loves the thought of helping those in need and giving back to her community. She does a arrangement of volunteer and charity work including, working with military families, to visiting cancer patients, to volunteering at many animal shelters including the human society. Carrie being as successful as she is could just be like a lot of stars and sit back and enjoy her benefits. But she doesn't she educates her fans on important issues. Another recent cause she did is raising awareness of the pervasive existence of slavery with her husband, Mike Fisher.
A personal thing she does is putting her family before her performance. It’s important that she makes time for herself. I think this is a good idea for important people with busy schedules. She took some time off to take care of her new baby boy which is now 7 months. She makes sure her relationships come before her work. She is very supportive about her husband, Mike Fishers hopes and dreams. She supports all of his decisions and he supports all of hers.
That’s why I think Carrie Underwood should come speak to our school. She’s inspiring to all ages and she made all her dreams come true. She’s one of the only stars that hasn’t let the fame got to
