Science branches out to the research of anything ranging from life to the latest technology. It has a vital influence in the development of new things that might improve our everyday life. Some researchers help us learn what not to do with certain elements. A chemist to be specific, does exactly that. According to Emporia State University, a chemist is a scientist who focuses his/her studies toward that involves of chemicals. Becoming a chemist isn’t easy, but it is a career that contributes to society.
The education requirement to become a chemist is a college degree such as B.S in chemistry or a B.A degree in chemistry, you can major in chemistry or a related discipline, such as physical science, life science or engineering. Required courses

to conduct basic or applied research. Most graduate programs give you the opportunity to choose a chemistry specialty, such as analytical, medicinal, environmental or theoretical chemistry. A master's degree program would allow you to choose a thesis or non-thesis option depending on whether you are interested in research. If you enroll in a Ph.D. program, you must conduct research and prepare a thesis or dissertation. You may be required to gain teaching experience in addition to conducting research and taking chemistry courses. After earning your master's degree or PhD , you can seek employment in basic or applied research.
Although you may spend much of your time conducting research in a laboratory, you will also spend a lot of time working in an office to prepare research reports and conducting theoretical research. You may also spend some of your time outdoors collecting samples. You will likely work in an interdisciplinary team and consult with chemists in other fields

There are two types of chemist, who develop chemist and who practice chemist. Chemist who practice chemist is the one who is redoing what others develop, so basically they are just learning what the person develop. The chemist who develop is the one that comes up with the chemicals, portion, and formulas on how they develop the experiments he/she creates. The chemist who develop takes time to find the right solution and the formula. Some chemists work in college and university research departments and those with a doctoral degree may work in an educational setting, teaching students the fundamentals of chemistry.
All chemist work with simple of matter to either research a greater understanding of the chemical itself, the elements of substances or create entirely new chemical compounds for use in a variety of experiments. Chemist typically specialize in one of the discipline of chemistry. There are forensic chemist, they work with law enforcement to establish evidence in criminal
Chemists are the specialists in chemistry, that interact with chemical properties, and reactions. The earth is made up of different gases. Some of this gases are needed for life in the planet but other gases can be harmful to the living. Gas’s use in regular quantities are favorable to the earth. The world started to become more advance and had to use more of this gases to produce everyday objects and inventions by men. Little did we knew this chemicals we going to affect us in our life. Chemist Jose Mario Molina actually discovered that chlorofluorocarbons were affecting the ozone layer.
You have to have an overall understanding of science and chemistry as well as math. This profession is for outgoing, friendly, loving, caring people who want to make a difference in someone’s life. Education is one of the most important factors in this field. Science is evolving everyday day and it is important to keep up with research. Not only being able to gain knowledge from the years of education but being able to diagnosis patients and giving them the proper treatment. It is important to have good communication skills when having to work with sick children and worried parents. To be able to ask questions by listening to the child and the parent and helping to understand the situation in order to get the child healthy. Diverse is the key to preparation. You will come in contact with many different
In order to understand the effects of chemicals in our environment, environmental chemists conduct field and laboratory work with measurements, data interpretation, and computer modeling. In order to become an environmental chemist a person has to have a graduate degree in chemistry, earth science, or another related field ("Environmental Chemist: Education and Career Information."). A less experienced environmental chemist usually makes on average $40,000 and a more experience environmental chemist can make up to $60,000 (Alana
The first step taken to become a forensic scientist is to first pass the education required to become one. The education level chosen depends on what kind of forensic job you are interested in and what salary you are going for. Most entry-level forensic positions require a bachelor’s degree in forensic or natural science (Anne 1996). Undergraduate programs consist of toxicology, biochemistry, and criminal justice classes. The American Academy of Forensic Sciences also recommends English classes. This is because forensic scientists need very honed written and oral communication capabilities to write detailed reports and testify physical evidence in court.
Chemistry is a science that deals with many substances and also involves matter. In chemistry there’s the investigation of its ways in which the substances interact and how they combine, change and their uses when substances combine. A great way to show this is by doing an experiment that involves baking soda and vinegar being put together to have a reaction and to bond.
We see our modern world filled with so many advances with technology and science. We usually do not think about science when using a smart phone or google to find information with one click of a button. Do we think about Chemistry when taking an antibiotic medication for an infection? Just about everything involves science and technology, but what would happen if one scientist didn’t discover one theory, a theory that can alter our advance society as we know today. This one man was credit as the founder of chemistry. Chemistry is a branch of physical science that studies the composition, structure, properties and change of matter. Chemistry is chiefly concerned with atoms and molecules and their
The role that Chemical Technicians do is having the backbone to every chemical, semiconductor, and pharmaceutical manufacturing operation. Chemical Technicians explain experiments, record data, and help use new processes and procedures in the laboratory.
Chemists began to wonder if there was other elements not known of. As time moved on chemist began to find more elements, they used scientific methods to find these elements. Sooner or later chemists wanted a solution to the questions that had been beckoning them from the start. To begin to answer these questions chemist needed to find a logical way to recognize
For example Robert Boyle, who was generally considered to have created the modern field of chemistry, was really an alchemist. He searched for alkahest, a name for the philosopher's stone, and he spent a great deal of time trying to transmute metals. But although he was an alchemist, he was also a chemist who believed in using careful experimentation to gain knowledge. The very notion of a separate alchemy and chemistry was just beginning to take shape by the time Boyle died. There were even texts in the early 17th century which referred to the art of making gold as chemistry and referred to experiments like distilling a substance as alchemy.
present. By 1000 BC. Ancient civilizations used a lot of different technologies that helped eventually form the different branches of chemistry. In my discussion about the history of chemistry, I will answer four questions that are very questionable. Such as, What was society like before the discovery of chemistry? How did natural resources limit or advance chemistry? How is chemistry affecting society today? And finally, what impact does chemistry have on the future?
Chemistry and art have always been linked ever since cavemen drew or painted on walls. Conservators must help to preserve these cherished pieces of history from the natural decay that occurs over long periods of time. To attain a conservation career, you must achieve a masters degree in conservation or a closely related field with
They also instruct technicians on proper chemical processing and testing procedures. Chemists write technical reports and present details of their methods and findings. Important job qualities needed to be a successful chemist requires analytical skills to carry out scientific experiments, precision, and accuracy in their analyses. They need communicational skills to write reports and give presentations, critical thinking skills to evaluate the validity of their own work and the work of others, and problem-solving skills to develop new chemical products in a long-process of trial and error to reach a meaningful clinical
There are four types of chemistry courses nurses typically go through. These include: general chemistry, biochemistry, organic chemistry and pharmacology. General chemistry is the basics. In this subject you will learn about the elements and compounds on the periodic table. Many courses cover chemical equations, states of matter, and elements that make up the world. Biochemistry is a mixture of of biology and chemistry. This branch of chemistry studies the many activities that happen in the body of a
The various processes and concepts involved in industries responsible for the production of innumerable day to day goods have always captured my fascination. The production and processing of chemicals form the crux of such industries. What started as a fascination has turned into a passion, and the next step in this journey is why i am aspiring towards a Master of Science degree in CHEMICAL ENGINEERING at PENN ENGINEERING specializing in {Specialization}.
Though many people fail to realize it, chemistry is a subject essential to everyday life, due to the fact that it is the branch of science that deals with the identification of the substances of which matter is composed. But what we must understand is that everything in the universe is composed of matter, hence chemistry is necessary in learning more about the world and universe that we live in. There are many careers and fields affiliated with chemistry that people pursue to learn more about the composition of the universe, but for now, let us examine the logistics of three of these careers. These three careers involving chemistry are geochemistry, environmental chemistry, and chemical engineering.
