Electronic gadgets form a part and parcel of everybody’s life. The technology behind these gadgets, the mystery of their functionality and their tremendous potential to change the lifestyle of mankind was the fundamental element which led me to pursue my studies in Electronics Engineering. Keeping up an inquisitive and explorative attitude, I believe, leads to a constant learning process. This approach adds to the already immense potential for innovation that exists in this area. As a graduate with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, I look to refine my knowledge and skills in my areas of interest. I think it will also help to give direction to my goal of a career as a research professional at an academic or commercial, research-oriented organization. I intend to pursue an MS degree in order to reach to above goal.
My quest for knowledge and securing a position in class blossomed actually in my school, where I used to be among the top 3 students. The aspiration to learn about Electronics seconded by my decent XII std. Scores in science and 89% marks in Math, secured me a position in the Electronics And Telecommunication branch in Nuva College Of Engineering And Technology under the aegis of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University. I took up Computer Science and Engineering as my discipline in Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, one of the premier institutes in India. My undergraduate education has been a great learning and enriching process for me. It exposed me to all the core areas of Computer Science like operating systems, database management systems, networks and network security, data structures, algorithms and software engineering. These courses have given me a good foundation in the core concepts. My interest lies in Database Management, Programming Languages, Theory of Computation, and Software Engineering. People travel miles in search of their true passion; some find them early in their life and I consider myself lucky enough to be one among them. I found my true calling at the age of 12 on a field trip to a milk factory. It seemed like the Disneyland of science with huge machineries, conveyer belts running all around, and instruments working about in their own rhythm with sheer intricacies and perfection. As a kid, I was eager to understand the mechanics behind this magical rhythm. The desire of gaining in-depth knowledge about Control System and Automation eventually led me to choose Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering as my undergraduate study.
I got admitted for Bachelor program in Electronics and Communication Engineering at reputed Parul Institute of Engineering & Technology, Vadodara, Gujarat, India and have cumulative GPA of 7.94. Most people thing that being an electrical engineer means that you spend your day going to people’s house and fixing their electrical problems. I have always dreamed of becoming one of them. For realizing this dream, I started from China 's Jilin University and then joined The University of Manchester for BEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering to take more advanced professional courses. In UoM, I managed to gain GPA of 4.0. Yet, my pursuit of the dream does not end there, since I plan to apply for M.S. program in Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Carnegie Mellon University, where I can receive the best education among the world.
