1. What area did the quiz say would be a good fit for you?
Criminal Lawyer
2. Do you agree with the quiz results? Why or why not?
I do agree with the quiz results. I plan on continuing my education and going to law school to become a criminal defense attorney. My older brother is an oil and gas attorney, my younger sister is a will and trusts attorney and my husband is a criminal defense attorney. I can’t be left out. I originally wanted to be on the criminal investigation end of law enforcement because I have an eye for detail and love solving cases. My major took a complete turn from Child and Family Development to
Criminal Justice. Hopefully my husband and I can open a law office together soon. Criminal Lawyer mcmahonwinters.com You should be...a Criminal Lawyer! I chose to research the profession of a homicide detective. This profession interests me because I find solving a puzzle satisfying, by picking up the pieces (evidence) and fitting them together I can solve the mystery of the homicide. This of course is something I will have to work toward, as I cannot become one right out of the gate. First I will have to be a police officer. I have to be a police officer first because I need to gain experience in the criminal justice world and with victims/ suspects. Depending on the town I choose to pursue my career in I could have to start as a patrol officer or at a jail. I am doing things now to try and set myself apart from other candidates so if the time does ever come for a promotion I can be one step
When I was a little girl, I always wanted to be something that had to do with Criminal Justice. Why? Well because I use to watch a lot of those crime shows when I was younger and they always had my full attention. Plus my aunt is a sheriff so when I could I would go to work with her and I get an even closer hand on look at CSI work. So going with her made me even more interested day by day. At that moment I knew what I wanted to be when I finished high school.
These are the skills and competencies I have learned through my studies at Walden University. Kaslow, Grus, Campbell, & Fouad, et al. (2009) stated professionalism comes from my respect for those who need help. Integrity can be built with confidence in the therapist. Attitudes are charitable, polite, caring emotions toward others that fuel my motivation toward helping. This concern welfare of others comes from my religious and personal experiences as a child and young adult.
I have seen that being a criminal justice major is awesome, because the jobs that are associated with a criminal justice major are really interesting to me. Being a criminal justice major has been something that I have wanted to do since I was watching crime TV shows when I was a little kid. These shows had most of my interest and the character that I would love to be is obviously the lead detective. I have always wanted to be the one who caught the break in the case that eventually led to the apprehension of the person that committed the crime. That is why I watched shows like Monk, Criminal Minds, Psych, etc. Basically if the show had crime in it and there were people trying to catch the criminal I was most likely glued to the TV. There have also been a lot of issues surrounding the criminal justice field that I find interesting. Some of these issues have touched on whether or not law enforcement should monitor cities’ more closely, due to the recent attacks on U.S. soil. The major that I have decided to go with seems to really fit me and I am anxious to start learning more about this field, and I am glad that I am not going to have to be on the front lines. I want to be a forensic accountant because I know it will always interest me throughout life. I am glad that I will not be surrounded by the tension that comes with respecting citizen rights and cops overstepping their boundaries between laws and respecting citizens’ rights.
I found the results of my self-assessments to be a very insightful and accurate description of myself. The results of the learning styles test and the Keirsey Temperament Sorter II are very valuable for examining my personality traits and learning style and making improvements as needed.
I have known from an early age that I’ve wanted to become a doctor. Helping people has always been a passion of mine. When I was younger, I wanted to be a veterinarian. However, after working with young children I have found that I love working with them, and have a connection with children. Currently, I am interested in becoming either a neonatologist or a general pediatrician so I can continue to work with young children.
Do you enjoy helping people? I have always wanted to work with young people. My Career of choice is a juvenile probation officer. This is my career of choice because I was in the system at a early age. In addition, they help out the community. I don’t like the way the system is ran at times so it would be in my best interest to pursue something that will challenge me.
When I get my report of the Career Leader assessment, I am not surprise to see my most interest area in business world is quantitative analysis. From elementary school to high school, my favorite class is always math class. I participated the Junior Olympic Mathematical Contest when I was in elementary school, and got a good grade. I enjoy doing problem about quantitative analysis. The report also presents that my match career is accountant. This is matches with my currently major accounting. I like numbers, and I like organize things, so I think this match is reasonable. The most surprise thing to me in the report is that the report shows I have a high ability to teach. When I saw this result, I had doubts. I do not like to teach people about something, and I never thought I can teach people to do something. But when I tried to explain somethings, I always explained things in details and have patient. So, maybe I can be a good teacher if I strength this skill.
The delicacy of this type of competency assessment as well as the implications of the diagnosis and other clinical findings, means there are several legal and ethical points to consider. From an American Psychological Association standpoint, there are several issues, including consent, bias, and others. These considerations shift slightly as roles change from practitioner testifying based on their own evaluation of the defendant to the one testifying based on a review of the report.
My name’s Molly. I turned 21 in March, and I still live at home with my mama, aka, my best friend. I’m in the Criminal Justice program, and this is my second semester (in this program) 4th semester total. It’s a long story. Basically I took one semester getting all of the core classes out of the way, and then I did a semester in the Marketing/Graphic Design program. I eventually learned that wasn’t my thing, so now I’m finally studying something I’m very interested in which is Law. Police officers have always intrigued me, so it’s what I intend to do once I graduate. If not, then perhaps a dispatcher, corrections officer, or something related. Helping others and putting bad guys in their place is what excites me. That, and correct
When an individual needs a job or a change of scenery in a work environment we look for a different employment and start job hunting. In the Job-hunting survey I scored a low score; my experience with job hunting is very low. I have worked with the same company for nine years and have not had the need to look for another job. Even though sometimes I want to have a job closer to home or more pay I always tend to back out on the change and continue with the job I have. When it comes to change I get nervous and scared and because I’m afraid that I’m not going to succeed in the other location I decide to stay with my current employment and deal with traffic and the pay. This survey helped me realize that even though I have been in my employment
i did my career research project over a professional ice cream tester. i became interested in this job about a year and a half ago. when my step dad and me were looking at a facebook post. the facebook post was about the top ten most interesting jobs that pay well in the united states. professional ice cream tester was number six. i have been interested for about a year and a half too two years. i have done research before but i did not use sweet search before so i did into find as much as a third as much as i did with this research as i have without using it. doing this research i even found out about respected people in this career. people who have been working in this career for 30 years. that is twice as long as i have been alive. these
After graduation, I planned to relocate back to St. Louis, MO. Also, I planned to further my education, by getting my Master’s Degree at the University of Missouri St. Louis. After receiving my degree, I want to find a career in Child Welfare. In conclusion, I want to live happily ever after with a husband, a few kids, and an amazing career.
One of my career goals is to become a process operator. Before I graduate from high school, I will choose between the path on becoming a process operator or pursuing a career in Law Enforcement. The main career I am shooting for is becoming a process operator.
So, as far as evaluating my own competency in teaching my initial response would be that it is a skill that I severely need to work on, but that is when it is in the formal and intentional setting. I am not organized with my thought process, presentation style, or materials/schedule. If a group of students were to take a basic lecture class where I was the instructor right now, they would go straight to RateMyProfessor.com and rip me to shreds. However, if students took a discussion based, interactive class under my facilitation it would be a much different story. That is because I would teach through stories, and teach through the students. I would want them to learn more from each other than from me. I already practice this style of teaching in the way I lead Bible studies in my sorority. Guiding conversations with organized material, but generally letting the students choose the course.
