Michaela Breeden 11-9-17 Period 1/2 Have you ever been in a car crash? I have and I was terrified. Now I’m going to tell you what and how it happened to me. It was an normal winter day by that I mean frigid and icy. I had gotten ready for Hapkido ( Martial Arts ). It was my final test to get a yellow belt with a blue stripe one step below a blue belt. I was so excited I could have burst into a million pieces! All of a sudden a terrible blizzard started. My mom suggested that I not go but, I didn’t listen to her and that was a mistake and I would really regret it later. When we were halfway to my martial arts it was snowing so hard that all we could see was white. That's when it all happened and thing got bad. Before we knew what
An officer began a routine stop for someone exceeding the speed limit but the driver of the sports car they were trying to pull over speed up instead of slowing down. During the course of this chase the speeds of both the police car and the sports car rose to above 100 miles per hour. At the end of the high speed chase the officer lost control of their cruiser and ran up on a sidewalk hitting a pedestrian, ultimately killing the pedestrian. In the same moment hearing the commotion caused by this accident the sports car driver looked back and proceeded to crash the sports car. Following the impact the sports car driver was killed and now people are looking for a place to distribute the blame for these two deaths. It must be decided if the officer is at fault for these deaths and the best way for the police department to act following these deaths. The legal, ethical and moral aspects of each situation must be evaluated. After this evaluation is made decisions must be made that incorporate and satisfy all of these variables in a manner most favorable to the police department.

A tragedy is a wretched event that puts a person in despair. Tragedy is a genre which consists of continuous tragic happenings that ultimately lead to an unhappy ending. Arthur Miller expresses that what makes a tragic hero is their attempt to take fate into their own hands, which ends up being the reason for their ruin; while those who accept their fates tend to be the lucky and are spared a demise. Miller claims there are tragic consequences for a man who questions his position, regardless of whether he wants more or thinks he deserve less. The film, Crash, is an example of a tragedy, because one character tries to alter their own fate, and other characters have reservations of where they lie on the social spectrum.
“August 2000, our family of six was on the way to a wedding. It was a rainy day, and Gregg was not familiar with the area. The car hit standing water in the high-way, and started hydro-planing. Greg lost control of the car. Then, the car went backwards down into a ditch and started sliding on its wheels sideways. After sliding for 100 feet or so, the car flipped, at least once. After flipping, the car came to rest on its wheels, and the passenger window broke out.
There are many social problems that exist in the world today, which includes but do not limits to self-identity and racism. However, they somehow go unnoticed because at times people conform to what society thinks is the way to live. In my opinion, people believe they should act or feel a certain way because of what is broadcast on television, featured in magazines, and even brought into the limelight by celebrities. After viewing the movie Crash, in my opinion, the movie targets on going social problems that are constantly being swept under the rug to this present day. I deem Crash a race movie because it forces the audience to question their own moral values.
The day started off like any average day, I took a hot shower, got dressed and got prepared for the day. It wasn’t until I sat down and started eating my bowl full of cheerios with extra sugar, that I realized what was actually happening. Today would be the day I finally bought my first car, after a year of hard work and conservative economic decisions.
Which was weird because I barely made a noise when I got up, though I should get into what happened in this accident. During the course of the morning, I and my brother played some games after we had breakfast and decided to go outside because we were kind getting bored of playing Xbox. As we both got dressed and went outside for a bit, I didn't know what to do when I got out there, so as we sat there for about five minutes or so, we both decided to have a snowball fight. After we got bored of that, I decided it was amazing Idea to go poke at the ice, I was not really careful of what we doing as we stepped on the Ice because I came up with the idea to this anyway.
Have you ever read a certain book, and then watched the movie that was made after that book? Most people who have done this have an opinion on what was different between the two. Some who are avid readers wonder why these changes came about. On the other hand, many people who are visual people enjoy the movie version more. For example, in the first Twilight book and movie, they have the same plot and story line. Except the producers can’t replicate the movie exactly to the book due to things like film length and attention to keep the audience interested. There’s a particular scene/part in the book and movie I’d like to breakdown. The “Car Crash Scene” where Bella is saved by Edward in the school parking lot from an oncoming sliding van. In
Disappointment, disbelief and fear filled my mind as I lye on my side, sandwiched between the cold, soft dirt and the hot, slick metal of the car. The weight of the car pressed down on the lower half of my body with monster force. It did not hurt, my body was numb. All I could feel was the car hood's mass stamping my body father and farther into the ground. My lungs felt pinched shut and air would neither enter nor escape them. My mind was buzzing. What had just happened? In the distance, on that cursed road, I saw cars driving by completely unaware of what happened, how I felt. I tried to yell but my voice was unheard. All I could do was wait. Wait for someone to help me or wait to die.
The Drunk Driver One accident happened and it’s taught me a lesson to have for the rest of my life. I woke up with the smell of strong coffee in the air. Today is the last day at our family cabin. As I walk downstairs I see my family at the kitchen table visiting. “Good morning sunshine
The pick-up bounced jarringly down the old dirt road. The driver sat up straight in the front seat, checking over her shoulder every few seconds to make sure that her cargo hadn't fallen out.
I always hear those old sayings. In the course of one day I can hear them about everything from retraining old dogs to getting up early. I think they make sense and I even ponder on some of them, but I never really thought one might mean as much to me, or become as realistic as it has become in my life. The clichés about telling those you love, how you feel, before it is too late and the ones about living every day like it is your last have an all new meaning to me.
Ding! Ding! My phone buzzed and rang, waking me up from dozing off again. It was Hannah. She was finally home and said I could come over whenever now.
Last year I got involved in a massive car accident. It was the most terrified part of life. It was the moment. I will never forget in my whole life. Before, I never realized how people really feel when a car accident happens. But,after this car accident I know what really it felt like. It was the moment. My mind was totally feared of driving. I was crushed by the hot metal and cold dirt of car. I was not feeling my arm,my body was numbed. It was felt like my lower body pressed down with monster force. All I could feel was the noise of car accident ringing in my ear.I was barely able to move my body. I was kept thinking. What my parents going to think about this? Where is my friend John? I looked through the window and saw the cars passing by
Accidents happen all the time whether we know it or not. Some could possibly be avoided and others may not. I was a young girl, who didn’t truly grasp the concept of life and death. Every time I was upset about something, I would think about ending my own life. However, through one horrifying incident, that silly thought of mine completely vanished. Thanks to that specific mishap, the way I perceived life and death has in turn, changed entirely anew.
