Capitalism lead to great changes in banking and business for Europeans It came to Europe after the devastating black death and while Europe was suffering from poor economic growth. By looking at this definition, it is hard to see how this economic systems is linked to the Renaissance, which occurred in Europe. These two events in western civilization have great links which tie the two event together. The Renaissance was a period of time in Europe when craftsmen, mostly artists, broke away from craft guilds to pursue their own ventures in their trade. It is also know as the rebirth of the classics. Artists began painting and sculpting for the royal and wealthy. Most of the masterpieces had to do with religion or portraits of royalty to make the patron that was paying for the service merely immortal since this painting would be famous and around for as long as it could be preserved. Religious scenes were painted to give people a visual idea of events that took place. Artist also put their own design into artwork in order to express feelings that were felt at this time in their life. Both events were to events helped individuals to prosper immensely for themselves and move away from government and religious controlled work. Renaissance and capitalism both brought about a way for individuals to make money. Capitalism allowed for sole proprietors to run businesses and make a living for themselves. In a similar way, artists were able to make money buy using their talent and providing a service to others on an individual basis. The artists were looked up to my even the most wealthy merchants because of the power the had to make them know forever though their work. Both the businessmen and artists both earned respect and were well known in society and also earned a certain status for themselves.
...the birth of capitalism liberated the goals and means of work. Capitalism allowed individuals to own and manage their own business and reflected the secular mind frame derived from the Renaissance Era. The individual is the unit on which capitalism is based. Bonds between merchants was based on free competition rather that the need to trade. This liberating system of economy allows rise for the individual to direct his own business.
The Renaissance was a time of change and prosperity. The decision was made depending on the difference of two eras. Unlike the Renaissance, the Middle Ages were a thousand years of ignorance and superstition. The Renaissance men were leaders in an era of rebirth and learning looked to the Ancient Greeks and Romans for models of advance. Many historians felt that the Middle Ages and the Renaissance were one era. The debate centers around whether the Renaissance was a unique age or a continuation of the Middle Ages.
The Middle Ages was a time in history where everyone was faithful to religion as well as others. Also, in the Middle Ages, people were encouraged to always try their best; they were encouraged to strive for the highest achievement possible and to never give up. The Renaissance, however, was more focused on becoming matured and finding a way to be successful at everything one does. During this era, people strived to become all-sided men, also known as; renaissance men. This means they are not only successful in one type of art but in all types of art, as well as math, science, and literature. The Renaissance was a distinct period in time that was separated from the Middle Ages and began a new era.

To begin with, capitalism is a type economic system. Simply put, capitalism is the system where workers work for the capitalist and receive wages for their labor. In, Wage-Labour and Capital, Marx explains the exchange between the capitalist and their workers in regards to wages and labor. He wrote:
Due to the Renaissance, European society changed politically, economically, and socially between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The word Renaissance means “rebirth,” signifying a whole new Europe. Humanism, crossroads, and monopoly in Italy were important characteristics of the Renaissance.
Art was the thing to spend disposable income on. It was a way of showing wealth and gaining prestige and influence. Without patronage and consumer demand, being an artist could not have been a profession. In the Renaissance, wealth was power. And wealth was shown through owning works of art.
The Renaissance was a period that bridged the gap between the medieval times for chivalry to the more sophisticated, modern advancements of a new world. The Renaissance brought the change of a new government after the Hundred Years War. With France and England the dispute over who is the rightful owner of the throne, brought the change of a monarchy into the modernistic type of government. This monarchy essentially made the family of a select few the rulers for generations. Other systems that help the king and queen were established. since the king and queen could not rule solely by themselves without some sort of a power struggle, system that help evice the throne were established, for instance parliament, and the house of commons. As discussed on a few occasions during our class, the Renaissance was a period reviving Ancient Greek and Roman techniques used in architecture, paintings, sculptures, reliefs, and other mediums of artistic expression. The Renaissance was also a period of humanism, which was a period of becoming educated. In particular, as more and more folks became educated, artists no longer emphasized key characters in religious works of art because folks could identify who was who based on key symbols. One painting which I noticed often in class was The Annunciation.
These are the things that lead up to the Renaissance, It was a beautiful time of beauty and art. Lots of artist at this time came out and discovered many different techniques for sculpting or painting. At this time many artist became very well known and famous for their time. They will away’s mean much in the art world, and they will away’s be remembered for the beauty they made. So their art spreads all over the world, to be discovered and recognized by other artist.
Capitalism is an economic system in which the production and distribution are privately owned, the government involvement is minimal, and there is free enterprise. In Capitalism, the means of production are privately owned and operated for profit in a competitive market. Also the economic investment, ownership and profits are all owned by individuals. Under capitalism the state is separated from the economy, which means that the government has no role in business. In other words, everyone works for themselves. The market forces in a capitalist country runs by supply and demand which it determines the price and later on it turns into profits. Supply is the quantity of goods and services a business is willing to sell, while Demand is the quantity of goods and services consumers are willing to buy. Therefore, Capitalism is the best economic system because it rewards the ones that work hard and since the government does not control trade, there is a large variety of goods and creates options for consumers to fit their personal needs.
As previously stated, the renaissance was the rebirth of society. What led to this was a decrease in faith because of the great schism, a conflict between two popes, where both said they were the pope. People were starting to take a secular view compared to what the church told them to believe. Society was changing to where individual viewpoints mattered. With politics starting to matter, and a better economy, places were beginning to be city centered, specifically city states, which are urban societies that have taken secular views.
The Renaissance was the age of the merchants and because of the merchants the economies and culture rose. The Renaissance is remembered by many people for the works of Michelangelo, Da Vinci, and Raphael. What many people do not know about the Renaissance is that the textile industry was more famous and profitable than the painter industry. Florence was the place to get any of your goods because of its location. Merchants went to Florence to sell their unique goods, buy, sell, or make cloth, and attend the guilds.
The Renaissance was a time of creativity and change in Europe. It produced many achievements in art, literature, and science, but most importantly it produced a new concept of how people thought of themselves, each other, and the world around them.
