Everyone will experience peer pressure, or social pressure, at some point in his or her life. Most people associate peer pressure negatively, similar to that described in the fable “The Camel and His Friends” by Bidpai. However, peer pressure can also come in positive forms, such as joining an exercise class with a friend to make it easier to stick to an exercise program. Regardless of the form it takes, peer pressure can leave a lasting mark.
Not only are giraffes the tallest animals in the world, they are also one of the most recognizable. Their characteristic long necks quickly captivate any audience. That being said, it is not commonly known that there are thought to be nine subspecies of Giraffa camelopardalis. In fact, there is increasing evidence that these could potentially be separate species in their own right. This paper will discuss where giraffes fit in the Tree of Life and identify the giraffe’s closest relatives, differentiate and analyze the similarities and differences between the nine subspecies, and, finally, explore any debate revolving around the phylogeny of the subspecies.

Beneath the lies a hidden history of unorganized, everyday conflict waged by African-American working people. Once we explore in greater detail those daily conflicts and the social and cultural spaces where ordinary people felt free to articulate their opposition and power in African-American "folk" communities. Folklore's function as an everyday form of resistance in the Jim Crow South. Zora Hurston, narrative frame is far more supple than has previously been acknowledged. She gave the title Mules and Men a depiction of comparison of African Americans in the South(niggers) to mules. The mule is a work horse that is not used for speed, but known for eats weak minds and strong back. Hurston brings a clear view of the strong minds that enable this culture to thrive.
There are two main themes in ‘The Camel Rider’. The first one is that even people don’t speak the same language or have the same beliefs you can still work together and achieve so much. This is shown throughout the whole book because Adam could not speak Arabic and Walid could not speak English yet they still managed to communicate. The second theme is that people in wealthy countries are very lucky because not everyone has the luxuries that we often take for granted. An example in this book is when Adam gave Walid the money and Walid was astonished of how much money there was while Adam thought that it was a normal amount of money.
One should remember that not all peer pressure is bad, although that is mostly what you see today. Good peer pressure needs to be done more, because why would you want to make someone do something bad, instead of helping them do something good and impacting them, because honestly who would want a worse world rather than a better one? Nobody should be pressured into do something they don’t want to, even if they know that it aren’t that bad. Trying something that you like, you’ll want to do it over and over again, and that will lead to addiction. Who knows, you could have possibly pressured someone into doing something without even knowing it.
