I am striving to become a successful baker who owns her own bakery. From watching my mother cook and watching Food Network, to practicing my baking at home, baking in particular has shaped the person I am today.
When Cake Boss, a show that follows Buddy Valastro and the operations of his family owned bakery, first premiered, I was fascinated by Buddy’s ability to bring people's ideas of cakes to life. I realized how I could use baking to express my creativity and share it with my community through my own innovations.
Once the aroma of luscious cupcakes spreads, it captivates the senses, putting hungry victims under a trance. At that moment, everyone knows I'm in the kitchen creating delicacies, such as cheesecake or other desserts. This is what occurred when I started making my own homemade cupcakes and selling them.

3 days a week, for about 10 ½ hours each week, I spent my time voluntarily making cupcakes and frosting from scratch, decorating cupcakes, and packaging them. In addition, I spent time announcing when I was going to be selling cupcakes, then selling them after school, and buying materials and ingredients. The majority of the cupcakes I sold were vanilla cupcakes with vanilla frosting, coming in first for popularity, and chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting, coming in second place. I sometimes added other cupcake flavors, the usual vanilla cupcakes I made, but with a cinnamon, sugar garnish, and red velvet cupcakes. My sales in just the first week was $48, selling 48 cupcakes. In total, I made almost $100. I was able to gain and keep customers, as well as receive positive feedback and some constructive criticism. On Tuesday October 18, the members of Group 6 met to discuss the challenges facing Remycake Bakery and its employees. During this meeting, we discussed the problem solving and decision making modes we will implement to help Remycake Bakery, the communication tactics to utilize, and a final problem or topic statement for our next group activity. Our team evaluated the Remycake Bakery to assess the changes that have caused a rise in customer complaints over the last six months. The founders of Remycake Bakery believed the culture produced at RemyCake was what made their bakery unique, original, and what set it apart from competitors.

Bartolo Jr. Valastro also known as Buddy is an accomplished fourth generation baker at Carlo’s Bakery, where he was born into the business owned and operated by his parents. He is the master baker, cake decorator and star of the hit TLC series Cake Boss. Buddy followed in the footsteps of his father, who followed his father, and so on. His dad is his inspiration when it comes to making cakes for all of the people that come to bakery. The Cake Boss himself and the bakery became famous when Buddy was invited to participate on Food Network Challenge in 2004. He lost, but he competed in three more challenges and won first prize. After being on Food Network Challenge, two of the show’s cameramen came to Buddy and encouraged him to pursue his own show. That is how Cake Boss was born.

She said "Actually the Peanut Butter Perversion is good, but I recommend the Red Velvet Cheesecake. Our chef's cheesecakes are handmade and are a 12 hour baking process. Her language was so powerful it made me change my choice (which is hard to do) and order what she told me.

Today I worked with Jared out in the Cropsey Home Depot. Our original game plan today was to focus on set integrity, until we noticed Dewalt was having a Demo event in the store. The gloves were thrown down, and the game was on. We held a Ridgid Demo and interacted with every customer that walked in the tool coral, and converted every customer over to R2. At the end of the day Dewalt sold $0, while our demo generated over $3,100 in sales! We promoted the demo through social media, via twitter, and received multiple likes and retweets. We also gained 5 Ridgid Contacts to help jump start Jared R2 CRM list, and PK'd his Pro Desk on New Ridgid Product, Hyperdrive, and Promos.

In result of other companies wanting to play it safe because of the recession, Cote Baking won’t have a large amount of rivalry to compete with. However, the few competitors they do have has already established a relationship with its customers and are already one step ahead of it. Cote Baking may be look to brand themselves for the first time but they have already exposed themselves, have grown a customer base, and have a great possibility of this step becoming a success. A few days ago, I innocently happened upon what, according to the bakery sign, was an almond croissant. Delighted, I ordered one, and dreamily handed over my two dollars as memories of bustling Parisian streets and morning bakery smells drifted back to me.
