Caffeine Most American’s need a little boost to start their day. Is a cup of coffee or an energy drink the better choice for your daily source of caffeine? Which of the two is healthier? It is a proven fact that coffee contains more caffeine then most energy drinks. For a lot of people drinking coffee has to be on their daily to-do list. While a fluid ounce of typical coffee has 18 milligrams of caffeine, a fluid ounce of Rockstar or Monster only pack 10 milligrams of caffeine. I believe we should all be concerned on the amount of sugar or caffeine that our favorite daily products contain. Clearly, not much research has been done on energy drinks, coffee on the other hand has been researched or the past 100 years. Just like anything else, There is many other ways we can consume caffeine. Caffeine can be found in many of our favorite drinks. Although they might not have as much caffeine as energy drinks or coffee, you can get a tiny boost out of them. For example, A 12 ounce can of Mountain Dew soda contains a whopping 52 milligrams of caffeine. Mountain Dew is the soda that contains the highest amount of caffeine. Tea is another way of consuming caffeine but, it only contains 47 milligrams of caffeine. This is not nearly as much as coffee, that’s why people rather go with coffee anyways. If you don’t want to have soda, coffee, or energy drinks you can always take a caffeine pill. Caffeine pills are a great way to get your daily caffeine dose, they are also much cheaper than coffee or energy drinks.
