From always being in sync daily with the Global News, my interest in Law and Business blossomed. I became a persistent follower of Court Cases, from the OJ Simpson murder trial to
Apple suing Samsung for £1.2 Billion.
This interest guided me to study Law at A Level where through hard work my self taught legal knowledge expanded, leading me to becoming more engrossed in the legal system and aspire to further education within this area.
Business interests me due to its complexity, as I enjoy solving problems and thinking strategically. GCSE Business Studies gave me an insight into the subject from which I developed an interest in how Businesses market themselves, including using the Boston Matrix for product portfolios and how the Marketing Mix …show more content…

This led me to develop a want to study Public Policy and its legal context, especially European
Union Politics as today it is controversial in many member nations. What I find interesting about Law is how it has shaped the world, for example modern society functions based on order and justice. Law also interests me economically in terms of restrictions on trade and regulation of Business, such as Cartels being illegal as they dissolve competition in markets.
A crucial skill in Business, Law and Politics is essay writing. I have developed this through studying English Language, History, Psychology, and Law at A Level. My experience of Law at A
Level and Business Studies at GCSE proved that hard work and dedication is the key to success,
I plan to import this work ethic into my Degree. A Level Law provided me with a broad range of legal vocabulary and understanding from Actus Reus and Mens Rea to Orders in Council. I am keen to expand this during the LLB Degree. Another skill I gained was reading legal cases and interpreting legislation. Outside of the classroom, I have visited Leicester Crown Court to sit in on a trial. This gave me an insight into how the Common Offence of a Battery
