He would be treated differently because he would have his mom to keep him safe. He would be able to get food because his mom could wake him up for them to get into the mission then he will not starve anymore.

Next, he would have been a lot differently, unlike in chapter two. He would have treated differently because he would have his mom and he would not have to go to the Amos and get locked in a shed. He would have a mom and a family to protect him. They would have got in to the mission because he would have his mom with him. He would not be alone unlike chapter three. Finally, Herman E. Calloway would have died and be in Bud's mother's eyes where Bud mom died in chapter one. Bud and his mother would have to travel the long trip to find Bud dad.
