Recommended: Comparison of batman and superman

What if's can lead to over a thousand possibilities. What if's can lead to the modification of certain events and sometimes even a different timelines. Such as, what if Bruce Wayne A.K.A Batman never got the chance to become Batman, because his parents survived their gun shot by never even venturing in to Gotham's famous "Crime Alley". So many possibilities can stem from a small what if, like for example; would Thomas and Martha Wayne have sent their son away from Gotham when he realized that it was a dangerous place for their son? But first lets take a look on how Bruce Wayne or Batman was before we add the "what if".

Sooner or later Thomas and Martha would have realized that their beloved city, Gotham was no longer safe for their son Bruce and they might have sent him away to continue his studies else where.With Bruce's parents still alive, Bruce most likely would have followed in his father's foot steps or excelled over them. Harvey Dent also known as Two-Face would have still been a lawyer and maybe even elected for Gotham City Mayor. (Source #1) Edward Enigma also known as the Riddler may have been a low crime criminal or he may even have written a book of riddles. (Source #1) The Penguin would possibly still be around as a high end criminal. The Joker wouldn't have existed because there is no Batman to play with. (Source # 1) Harley Quinn would have never fell in love with the Joker and she would still be a psychiatrist. Ra's Al Ghul wouldn't have Batman in the way so if he wanted he could destroy Gotham.
