The Bullies of Broad street The City of Brotherly Love, there is so much to do in the area, such as going to see the Broad Street Bullies, also known as the Philadelphia Flyers play. The Flyers were trying to reach their season long goal of making the playoffs, and dominating the Blue Jackets could get them. My family likes going to professional sporting events, and Philly is where most of our favorites teams play. This was going to be the second time we see a hockey game, the last time the Flyers crushed the Red Wings 7-2. I hoped this game would be a little closer to make it more entertaining. It was time to go, I could not wait for the amazing three-hour ride early in the morning just to go to the King of Prussia Mall. The hockey game was at seven PM and we got up at seven AM. Luckily, Kanye West’s new album came out to help pass the time the songs were stuck in my head all day. On the way, of course, my family had to get their fix of Dunkin Donuts iced coffee, which I passed on. King of Prussia Mall is supposedly the third biggest mall in the United states, but I wasn’t wowed. Unless you are a rich person or a woman looking for a purse there is no point of wasting time to go to this tourist attraction. You would think because it is a big mall that someone would have no trouble finding something to buy. No, the only thing I bought in there was a baseball …show more content…
I have listened to that classics album so much that I am beginning to dislike the band. Although it was not what I wanted in a game, it was a memorable experience with my family. The day was pretty hectic until the game started. I could have slept in and not gone to the mall but I wanted to make sure my parents and brother were happy, even if I wasn’t. It was the highlight of my spring break week. Next time I go hopefully there will be a nail
One half of the story was of a man named Daniel Burnham, who was a famous architect of his time. It’s in this half of the story that can you see the good part of the city. Pride can be seen mainly throughout his story. His life in these pages was based on the construction of the World Columbian Exposition which was a fair held in Chicago in 1893. This magnificent fair was in honor of one of America’s most well known discoverers, Christopher C. Columbus. This was the 400th anniversary of his discovery of the new world. Through Burnham’s pride and his determination, he was able to complete the fair in almost a year. However, it was not truly ready for opening day due to a few construction issues, such as the world’s f...
would have to say that I might even go see them perform again. Everyone left me with a
I would follow what Principal Milhoviak did, which is contact my discipline team and get their points of view. Prior to that, I would need to understand the main problem. It sounded like he did that by talking with the sister and getting her story. This is the first step, understanding the situation. The next step is formulating a solution on how to handle the situation. This is where getting other people involved was a great idea. Principals know they cannot do it alone so they need to have a team, especially in these types of situations. The problem was that team offered many suggestions. As a principal I would listen to all of them and also refer to the school handbook. In this case, since the student is not in his fourth period, I would call for the brother and sister back to the office until parents are reached. As a principal the priority is finding the student who made the threat and keeping the victims safe until parents are reached and the team decides what to do next.
Today client number 9302015 came into the Salinas County Psychology Center. His name was Joe Martin also known as Curley. Joe is 40 years old and married. He is also financially stable. His social and family history doesn't have a lot of background because he refused to tell me lots about it. Since he is mean and angry towards others he said that he doesn't have much of a family except for his dad who really isn't around him very much. He has a wife, but he doesn't really care for her. He said he tells her to stay in the house and not to interact with others. When he was questioned why, he remained silent. His background on his medical and mental health history has more information when we discussed this topic. He
They performed two songs during a much appreciated encore, the title track to their new album, “Ohio,” and a freestyle guitar solo. Even though all their songs are pretty much slow and sad, I left the concert feeling as if I had just experience every emotion or feeling there was. There style is so soft and bare. They lay it all on the table, take it or leave it. Not interested in mainstream, happy with their underground following, and plus one more fan after the show in Indianapolis.
We began with the typical touristy attractions; the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Soho, Central Park, and shopping. We had been planning this trip for months and had poured over every detail. From the time the plane landed, we were living by a minute-to-minute schedule. This was a well organized trip and The Great White Way was not on the agenda. Or so we thought.
The Grateful Dead spread their message of peace love and mind expansion across the globe for the better part of three decades. Few believe that there has ever been a more influential band in modern history. But all of this didn't come without great strife. From the beginning there have been several ups and downs with the band and its various members, from personal problems, to lable issues, to the issues they have always had with being on tour for so long. Very few bands are able to keep the same sound to their
One of the best vacation spots and most fun are down the shore in Wildwood, New Jersey. Wildwood consists of a boardwalk with tons of rides and fun, a beach with a beautiful ocean, and little summerhouses with ocean-side views. The best attractions though would probably be located on the boardwalk. There are so many things to see and do. Although it’s rather costly, it’s well worth it and it’s a great place for a family to share quality time together.
In these two stories “The Southpaw”and “Becky and the Wheels and Brake boys”.I will be comparing and contrasting the two stores in three ways.
It looked like the largest strip mall and smelled like a carnival filled with funnel cakes and cotton candy. There were more than a days’ worth of shops and attractions to visit. Every building looked as if it were built in the 20’s and made from very old wood with unique details. They had everything from Ripley’s Believe it or Not Auditorium, Guinness World Records Museum, air brush t-shirts, the finest dining and a moonshine tasting shop where they made their own moonshine. Every corner was occupied by an attraction like a hurricane motion ride, a sky bucket lift over a mountain, a moving theater and a large water park. At night the city lite up with neon lights and bands played live music. The restaurants had roof top dining with a view overlooking the mountains and hundreds of people walking the neon lite strip. I really enjoyed the atmosphere downtown everyone was so friendly and
When you associate anything with New York City it is usually the extraordinary buildings that pierce the sky or the congested sidewalks with people desperate to shop in the famous stores in which celebrities dwell. Even with my short visit there I found myself lost within the Big Apple. The voices of the never-ending attractions call out and envelop you in their awe. The streets are filled with an atmosphere that is like a young child on a shopping spree in a candy store. Although your feet swelter from the continuous walking, you find yourself pressing on with the yearning to discover the 'New York Experience'.
The former is probably the most upbeat song on the entire album, as the track opens with a twinkly-jam influenced rhythmic riff. The tone that is set carries through the rest of the track and the catchy guitar melodies are complimented with Kinsella’s now more urgent, passionate vocals. The faux-bridge after the first two minutes of the track turns into an instrumental, math rock influenced sound the band is classically known for. The closing track, however, might be the pinnacle of the entire album. The lyrical content touched summarizes the overarching themes perfectly, “wild nights when we were younger, we thought we’d live forever, at least we’ll die together”. The track also jams in all the elements American Football is loved for; melodic trumpet lines, soaring melodies, subdued yet fluttering guitars, and a peaceful fade out ending. With the soft yet abrupt ending to the album you are beckoned to listen again as if the nostalgic drenched atmosphere was an addictive
We all agree that bullying is atrocious. Surveys Show That 77% of students are bullied mentally, verbally, and physically. Many schools are asking the same question: What do we do with the bullies? Many bullies end up getting kicked out of their school, because of their actions of bullying. I believe schools should not kick out bullies. Students who are found guilty of bullying other classmates should not be kicked out of school, as a consequence for their actions. If they are kicked out they: will most likely/ never improve their actions, will have a decreased level of education, and will lose self-confidence.
It’s a rather big city, a good thousand miles away from where I am now. Besides that, It has a different way of life. You can pass someone and not now their name, who their parents are, or what their story is. There’s always something new happening and something different to find out. It’s not like my small town, when the news of something travels what seems like faster than a rocket. The main reason why I’m even drawn to Philadelphia would be because it’s so different from what I’m used to.
After the show had ended, I felt slightly empty. I had waited years and months for that night, and it was over in the blink of an eye. Although I was sad that the show was over, I felt completely content. Now, when I hear their songs, I get to remember what it felt like to hear the band perform them live. I can watch the videos and try to wrap my mind around how it was real. Going to my first concert was an unparalleled experience that I will always cherish. The ambiance, the band’s performance and the unity the audience
