Good afternoon, today we’re gathered in the town hall to discuss whether or not is the colonies declaring to break away from Britain in a rebellion necessary. Currently in the colonies, there are split between two group between patriot who favor the British rebellion and the loyalist who remain loyal to Britain. However It should be very clear that we the patriot should be justified in rebelling against Britain for whatever we deem unfair. Our reason for this rebellion are from all the faults made by our Britain King,George the third. This includes all the acts of taxation, wrongful navigation act, and salutary neglect. All of colonies are required to pay taxes, which was unfair for us to pay the war debts without any kind of reasons. As well not even having our consent from any of our representatives. The taxes act impacted the patriots in an increased tension between their relationship. Even though, taxes made a negative impact toward the relation, King George III proceed to issue more taxes such as Stamp Act. We were already feeling unpleasant with the taxes and with additional taxes act is just very insulting or again unfair. In the end, taxes is justified reason that only encourage us to rebellion in the first places for multiple unfavor change. (Body 1) During the time of peace after French and Indian War, we were developing our economy and able to manufacture more goods.
All until, when the British started to ruin thing in placing mercantilism and later to Navigation Act. The purpose of the act was to benefit Britain wealth and to increase their trading materials. Main causes can be from Dutch during that time were dominating the trading may threatened the trade of English shipping or could be a simple feeling of greed (O.I). 2) For the statement of taxes, the loyalist may say that the taxes are used to support the British Army for our protection from Native American and from other countries. This may be true, but at the same time most of the taxes is served for war debt instead for protection. The very main point of taxes toward the colonist was to pay for war debts, that is reason for the countless of taxes act such as Stamp Act and Tea Act simply for the war. This debunks loyalist claim for taxes is false and isn't Britain and King George III real intent to protect the colonies from invader. (Counterclaim) Lastly, for the patriots justified reason for rebelling against Britain is salutary neglect.
This is more represent towards Britain King George III. For each previous reason and problem that we have as patriots.Each colonists try having representative govt or to plead for a new law. We try to cooperate to resolve the tension in taxes but instead we were neglected, avoided altogether. Hence, the reason why some patriots were impacted by the salutary neglected and to began in smuggling goods and stamp. In order to bypass the unfair acts. The reason for salutary neglect is inexcusable for what our Britain King want. This show that our rebellion took time to reach a decision as we have to resist all the unfair laws and neglect first. 3) To sum it up, as a fellow Patriots it should be concluded that our rebellion against Britain our home country for independence was justified and necessary since the very beginning from when corrupt acts were passed impacting the colonies relationship . Firstly, the unfair taxes forcefully made us pay for all sort of tax including goods, stamp, and tea without any kind of agreement. Secondly,the navigation acts is heavily restriction that go against humans rights. Thirdly, are the countless of salutary neglect from our plead to cooperate with taxes and navigation acts. Ultimately, Patriots are justified generally to fight for whatever they deem rights, in this we are rightful in rebellion against Britain for freedom.

The colonists were in every right, aspect and mind, not only justified but also it was about time that they stood of and actually take action against the British. The choice of going to war with them, was the only choice that they had. All diplimatical options that they had ceased to stand a chance against the tyrant Britain. From the very beginning when the colonists felt upset against their mother country and the way that they went about the law making, up until the beginning of the war, they tried all diplimatical options that they had, by sending letters, you name it. When they didn’t work then they had no other means but to declare war.
The British colonies in the 17th century were afflicted by many strenuous periods of tension that boiled over resulting in violent rebellions. Bacon’s Rebellion and the Stono rebellion are two such rebellions that rocked the colonies. These conflicts rose from tension between the governance of the colonies and those who they ruled over. Overall, the imperial policy of the British Empire urged the colonists into a state of total rebellion. The colonial economy, geography, and politics had all been subjected to unfair consequences. What makes something revolutionary? Revolution is a sudden change, in the political sense, change in system of governance. The 1800 election was a revolutionary election. The election brought about new views and ideas. It also brought light to problems in the constitution that needed to be fixed. George Washington was the first president and since he need order in the governmental branches he “therefore packed the new offices with federalists, as the supporters of the Constitution were called” (American Spirit pg. 205). When Washington became president he did not have a how to guide. He had to lead by example because he was the first president in the new nation. However many problems arise in his presidency. Hamilton proposed an excise tax which Americans rejected.
Dear fellow colonists, it is to my greatest concern that I am informing you of Great Britain’s advancements. Our mother country has, in accordance to the words of Thomas Paine, increased our taxes along with pushing us towards our own enslavement. With a mindset of wanting what is best for ourselves, I believe we should side with Paine and branch off from Britain.
The main reason for the severance of the colonies from Britain was the lack of equality in parliament and the disregard for colonial needs. Whether it be forcing someone to pay for a war they did not fight or want, limiting one’s need for land, or piling on the taxes, all of these factors played a part in the dissolving of British-colonial ties. The colonists were only human and had the human reaction of defiance to injustice. If the colonists had not of had the audacity that they did, today’s America would be a very different place.
