Have you ever had the pleasure of sitting beside an animal on the Skytrain on your commute to work or stood in line beside one at the grocery store? Did you know that there's a difference between service dogs and emotional-support animals? These are one of the many struggles that individuals are faced when in public. The article "Pets Allowed" written by Patricia Marx gives you an inside look on the struggles people are faced with while also explaining the rules and laws regulating emotional-support animals that many aren't aware of. Many business owners are being taken advantage of by pet
Service dogs in school, what do you think of when you read these words? Bad occurrences of allergic reactions or people being scared out of their socks? Actually, these special dogs should be allowed in schools.
Several studies have examined the effects of dog ownership on people's physical and mental health. Dog ownership produces considerable health benefit and provides social support that encourages dog owners to walk (Cutt et al.2007 ). Pet owners appear to have lower systolic blood pressure and blood cholesterol levels(Anderson et al 1992). Pet owners with serious mental illness living in the community demonstrate higher social community integration(Zimalog and Krupa 2009). Socially excluded participants who performed in the presence of a dog report higher mental well-being compared with socially excluded participants who did not work in the presence of a dog (Nilüfer et al 2012). Although there is evidence suggesting that dog ownership can improve people's physical and mental health, there is little research documenting the psychological and behavioral effects of dog-assisted therapy, especially on elderly patients with dementia, who have dif...
I think pets should not even be allowed to even be in a workplace due to the fact that some people are actually terrified of dogs and bring them into a workplace can cause a lot of problems. The only reason I feel this way is because of the fact that animals can be huge a distraction to the workers and customers, they will require a lot of attention like stopping to feed them, give them water, taking them to use the bathroom. Plus, not all dogs are good dogs, you have the nice dogs and the mean dogs, how can a person do their job if you see dogs running back and forth, barking, ETC. Another reason can be that some people suffer from allergies. You really can’t bring one if you work in a fast food restaurant. I fully understand if a person that has a physical disability.
As the United States Supreme Court has deemed that the use of highly trained canines is Constitutional to assist law enforcement agencies, they are a major deterrent for violent criminals, as well as a deterrent to proactive police work to prevent crimes from occurring. Canines are a major crime-fighting tool to assist law enforcement.
Some human beings take their work serious as well. Most of the time an aggressive dog will make your job harder.
Many people consider animals as a part of the family. Pets are fun and can be a great addition to many homes. Although, owning an animal can come with many added benefits other than just having a cute and furry friend to play with. People who own pets, may see an increase in their overall quality of life compared to non-pet owners. Pets are a great way to improve the physical, social, and mental health of their owners.
Would you like to live a happy and productive life? Then get pets! I must admit it is hard to believe that domesticated animals can promote mental and physical health, but many studies have shown that they can. On the other hand, you must find a pet that is compatible with you or with your life style. Maintaining good mental health is crucial for living a "normal" life.
Preview of main points: Today we will discuss why you shouldn’t pet a service dog, and what you can do to help from distracting the dog.
If I had to choose a side between the two arguments, I would say to leave your dog at home. Although I understand why people might think it would be beneficial to the work environment, overall I feel like it would do more harm than good. I do think dogs relieve stress, but there are many other ways to achieve a peaceful
As stressful as school is for college students, most agree that they should be allowed to have pets in their dorm rooms. When the argument comes up that pets should be allowed in the dorm room, that does not mean that students only want to be able to have a pet fish. Most colleges now only allow aquatic animals such as fish and turtles and they even have to be in a certain size aquarium tank. Many would agree that when they come back from a very stressful, hard working day at school they would like to be able to cuddle up next to their pup. It is a known fact that dogs, and other furry pets, relieve stress and anxiety, they’re fun, they brighten people’s mood, and they also teach responsibility. So the question here is, should pets be allowed
Workplaces should not allow people to bring their dogs to work because the dogs will distract you in every way possible. Dogs will bark at eachother in chaos, pee everywhere to claim territory, and expect to be taken out. However it is fair to say that bringing your dog to work may relax you in many ways, it may also be the reason you stay loyal to your work. I do not think any company in their right mind should be in favor of bringing Dogs to work just to secure a long term relationship with an employee. When a person goes to work it is for work and nothing else, when a person goes home after work it is their opportunity to be extra caring and loving towards a pet or child, but when you mix the two and let's say bring your dog to work, not only are you constantly telling he or she to stay but the dog

As a pet owner, try to find some time to play with your dog. Your dog is excited and happy every time you come home or coming out from your room. Do not ignore him if he wants to play with you. Give time to make him happy by playing for a little while. Not only it will keep your dog healthy, but it will also relieve you of any signs of stress or pressure from work.
