Brave Dog Rescues Best Friend from Rattlesnake
German Shepherds have a stereotype of being brave and smart. After all, they are one of the top breeds chosen for police training. They are also extremely loyal and make a great family dog. These are just some of the reasons this breed is so popular for families.
But, when Donya DeLuca decided to rescue a 2-year-old German Shepard, named Haus, her husband Adam wasn't initially excited. The family had just lost their family dog of 13 years and were still recovering from that loss.
It wasn't long, however, before Adam and their two children fell in love with the dog with the goofy personality. Before they knew it, the DeLuca's felt that Haus, which means "house" in German, was a part of their family.
William Wegman never really wanted a dog. He was too caught up in his photography to be bothered, but his wife had a different idea. When William and his wife moved from Wisconsin to California they started looking for a dog. They decided to go with a Weimaraner when there was no luck with finding a Dalmatian. There first weimaraner was named Man Ray and the first thing William did when he took Man Ray home was take his picture, the rest is history.
Somethings such as, if the pet was hurt, hungry or needed something and they could express to the owner for that specific need could be very beneficial. Although, as humans are very sensitive and have a lot of harsh outcomes in life, it can also be very painful for animals to go through deaths, bad moments, and even everyday life. Hermes and Apollo are Gods who believe such different areas. The percentage of dogs that lived a happy life to the ones who did not are very significant. Dogs, or any animal, should not have human intelligence. The world is far to problematic and challenging for an animal to suffice. Apollo is the correct God in this
your dog name, I'm looking for mine." "I'm a dog?" "Yes we are dogs." (208)
Pit Bulls are without a doubt my favorite dog, I adore them. Pit Bulls are very well tempered, loyal, and resilient animals. Bred for big game hunting, Pit Bulls are strong, fierce animals and people who have the wrong intentions for ownership should never own them. I am a strong believer that a potential pet owner should do lots of research before getting any type of animal, without exception. Owners should do as much research before getting a dog as they do in planning for a new home or any other new family member. One of the main things to really think about and understand is your intentions for your selection of an animal with the breeding of the Pit Bull. If you choose a dog with the wrong intentions, specifically a Pit Bull, you will get a dog that behaves aggressively and is dangerous. This owner behavior is what has caused the current plight of the Pit Bull today, where laws have been passed in thirteen states and hundreds of municipalities, as well as every U. S. Military base, banning the ownership of the breed and forcing shelters to euphonize Pit Bulls within 24 hours. These laws are unjust and cruel, and victimize the breed based on the owners’ behavior. I also argue that the blame for the epidemic proportions that the laws have reached is 100% the fault of owners who purposely acquired the Pit Bull with the intention to abuse and fight the dogs, and that these owners are the ones who should be punished, not the dogs. Public dog parks could be very essential to cities. Many people who own dogs have no where to take them, which does not give the dogs any exercise or social interaction. We should treat our pets as equal and satisfy their needs as much as our own.
If you were judged solely because of your race, how would you feel? The answer, most likely, is a negative one. Pit bulls, a breed of domestic dog, are victims of harsh stereotyping and unfair judgement. Many people believe the dog is naturally aggressive, but that is far from the truth. The breed does not matter, the size does not matter, and the age does not matter. The key factor on how a dog behaves, is, believe it or not, the person who raises it. Pit bulls are not a dangerous breed of dog.

"He's the one." Tom put the dogs back into their kennels before leading us back into the main room. Póilín trotted along side Jack, his lead dragging behind him. Tom and Jack talked price and what we would need. I zoned out till I felt something small scratch at the back of my leg. I looked down to see a little pup who whines up at me as it hopped up on it's back legs and place it's front paws just above my knee. I squatted down and picked it up. I licked my face and caused me to giggle. With my giggle Jack turned to look and was surprised to see the pup in my arms. Tom smiled at me as the pup settled into my arms.
You wake up in the hospital, look around, and find a doctor hovering nearby declaring that you have just suffered through a heart attack; affirming that if not for your dog, you would have died. You remember back to earlier that day: sitting on the couch, feeling a little off, hearing your dog barking, sensing him nudging you, going to the phone to call the ambulance, and having your dog by your side until you were safe inside the aluminum walls of the emergency vehicle. Although it sounds abnormal that a dog would be the one to save someone’s life, situations similar to the one above are not uncommon. Dogs and other household pets have been shown to be able to detect medical emergencies, including heart attacks and seizures, in their owners.
I liked Grogan’s humor and style of the writing and the way of describing the dog’s mood. For instance he used italic fonts to distinguish the dog’s replies or thoughts as if the dog said or thought something. I felt the author believed that a dog could be a central part of the family. This book taught me how to become a good owner of a dog. It is important to recognize that the owners have big responsibility for a dog’s life.
There are many different types of work dogs. Some types of work dogs also have different jobs for which they are trained for. Law enforcement dogs, for instance, are normally detector dogs. Detector dogs have a large interest in fetching and retrieving. There are two major types of detector dogs. These types are narcotic detectors and explosive detectors. Narcotic detectors are used to search for drugs and narcotics. Explosive detector dogs are used to detect TNT and other like explosives. There are three main dog breeds used as law enforcement dogs. The German shepherd is the best breed for law enforcement. They are easily taught to attack with full control and know how to restrain someone without hurting them. They are very agile and strong. They have heart and are very brave dogs. Another breed used is the Labrador retriever. They are used as detector dogs, both narcotic and explosive. They naturally have the urge to retrieve things. Golden Retrievers are also great dogs for detecting, again, both narcotics and explosives.
If one wants to live a more responsible, more active, and a healthier life style they should get a dog. Obtaining the previously mentioned qualities are great but gaining a best friend is even better. Dogs are intelligent animals and their personalities are one of a kind. With training, love, and patience any dog can become a great addition to one’s family. Adoption from an animal shelter is a great way to get a dog although there are adoption fees most of the money is being used to vaccinate the dog before its taken to its forever home. Buying a dog from a reputable breeder is another option as how one gets a dog. Reputable breeders usually guarantee a puppy’s health. One might have to go through a few more hoops to be able to buy a dog from
They say that a dog is a man’s best fried, but they don’t tell you about the overall cost, responsibility, or convenience about adopting one. Dogs are supposed to bring so much joy to a household, but sometimes they can only fill a void for a short amount of time. When a dog owner buys a dog, do they actually research the things that they are about to get in to? When I bought my dog, Skye, I never really looked into is issues; I just looked at the benefits. I love Skye to death, and I guess I could say that she also loves me to death. Even though someone rescuing a dog may think they are doing something great; they are causing an issue on how they will forever live their life.
Not too long ago, Ms. Morris’s beloved dog, Hattie, had 5 puppies. Everyone in town thought the puppies were boring and ugly. Their eyes were closed, made a little movement, and didn’t make any noise. Nobody thought the dogs were cute, and nobody wanted them.
