The Three events I am doing are the Battle of Lexington, Boston Tea Party and, the Intolerable Acts. I chose the Battle of Lexington because it was the war before the American Revolution. Boston Tea Party because King George III punished the colonists with my third cause the Intolerable Acts. The Intolerable Acts were the rules that really “fired” the American Revolution.
My first event is the Battle of Lexington. This battle was the first “real battle” before the American Revolution. It was also the first battle minutemen from all colonies were in. This battle/war is important because it is one of the many mini-conflicts that led to the American Revolution. In the Battle of Lexington, British troops surrounded the patriot soldiers. Somehow,
the Patriots still fought and won that mini-war. My second event is the Boston Tea Party. The Boston colonists dressed up as Natives and raided the Britain ships filled with British tea. They dumped a lot of tea into that harbor 1 million dollars of tea to be exact. King George III was furious about this. That leads me to my third reason. My third reason is The Intolerable Acts. King George III assigned these acts because of the Boston Tea Party incident. The three main rules/acts of the Intolerable acts were the fact that the colonists had to house the soldiers, feed the soldiers and, provide wine and beer for the soldiers. These main three rules left many colonists without homes, food and, drinks. These rules are what “triggered” the colonists to fight against Britain for their freedom of government. The 3 reasons up above are a short amount of the many reasons and conflicts for the American revolution. Other reasons include Proclamation line, Townshend Acts, and many more! I chose the reasons, Battle of Lexington, Boston Tea Party and, the Intolerable Acts because I thought these were the most effective reasons the American Revolution. I also think that they all go together because they were the last 3 mini-conflicts that happened before the American Revolution. Those were my 3 causes for the American Revolution.
