In a world full of technology, whether it be computers, phones, or anything digital, it's almost daunting to pick up a good old fashioned book. But if we take the time to open that musty old collection of papers and ink, we might be surprised at what books actually have to offer. In fact, as a general principle, the book is almost always better than the movie.
A famous example of a book being much better than the film is “Into Thin Air”. The movie was so fabricated and the plot lines were dramatically different from the book it was based off of. The movie was so bad, Jon Krakauer, the author himself expressed his hatred towards the movie and recommended people to read the book instead.
Not only do movies leave out key components of the original
In conclusion, details involving the characters and symbolic meanings to objects are the factors that make the novel better than the movie. Leaving out aspects of the novel limits the viewer’s appreciation for the story. One may favor the film over the novel or vice versa, but that person will not overlook the intense work that went into the making of both. The film and novel have their similarities and differences, but both effectively communicate their meaning to the public.
Many time in our lives, we have seen the transformation of novels into movies. Some of them are equal to the novel, few are superior, and most are inferior. Why is this? Why is it that a story that was surely to be one of the best written stories ever, could turn out to be Hollywood flops? One reason is that in many transformations, the main characters are changed, some the way they look, others the way they act. On top of this, scenes are cut out and plot is even changed. In this essay, I will discuss some of the changes made to the characters of the Maltese Falcon as they make their transformation to the ?big screen.?
The book, "Being There," is about a man named Chance, who is forced to move out of the house he lived in his whole life and his experience in the outside world. Based on the success of the book, the movie, "Being There," was made. The author of the book, Jerzy Kosinski, also wrote the screenplay for the movie. I think the major difference between the book and the movie is that in the book, we get to read what Chance is feeling and thinking, but in the movie, we only get to see his actions.
Books give life to the written word in a way a movie cannot. It doesn’t matter how you film a movie. A movie cannot capture the essence it is trying to duplicate. It will only fail and leave you disappointed by the ending. If one of these had to disappear, no one would miss movies if books could replace them all.
I have always believed that the book is always better than the movie. Even though the visual effects on the movie helps out a lot, the book is always better. The book is just the original thing. This means that it tells the story that it was meant to
