The Truman book I chose to read for the first quarter is All Fall Down by Ally Carter. I enjoyed reading this book because the plot was very interesting and I liked seeing how the events would turn out. All Fall Down is about a girl named Grace Blakely who has grown up in Adria, a European nation. She finds out her mom has died. Grace remembers an old man with a scar who was at the sight of where her mom died when it happened. Grace thinks he is the killer. She calls the man the Scarred man. Grace meets some people on the way including Megan and Noah who help her with her search to find the person who killed her mom.
Grace Blakely is 16 years old and is the main character in the story. She is the one who is searching to find who killed her mother. Caroline is Grace’s mother who is the main point in the story. Grace is trying to figure out who killed her. Noah is a boy who broke into Grace’s bedroom during the night. He was the one who took Grace to a secret place. …show more content…

That sends her off on a wild goose chase to find out who killed her, and many other smaller conflicts result around this. Another conflict is when Alexi is sent back to Moscow by her father because that was one of Grace’s friend who helped her discover and find the clues leading up to Grace finding out the person who killed her mother. The climax of this story is when Grace and her friends discover that there is not just one scarred man. There are several of them who are all accused of killing Caroline, Grace’s mother. The various men in Grace 's life all gave her something, for better or worse, and helped to make her the person she became at the end of the novel.
