Bobbi Kristina Brown's aunt Pat Houston is opening up for the first time since her niece died in July. She has has revealed the late star's family were "making plans" to get her help before she was found unconscious in a bathtub. "When we really found out that Krissy was in trouble, we were really making plans to do something about it," Houston tells Entertainment Tonight in a new interview, airing Monday. "But it came too late." Houston also revealed she had long been wary of Bobbi’s then-boyfriend, Nick Gordon. In fact, she had filed a restraining order against the aspiring singer's boyfriend Gordon after he posted threatening images with guns on social media. “We had a little hiccup with the restraining order,” she explained that the
Everybody had an opinion on what happened at the Ramsey household on December 25, 1996. Most people believed that the family is responsible for killing JonBenet. Ever since that day, the public has held the Ramsey family under a cloud of suspicion. The family did everything they could do to defend themselves. They believe that an intruder must have done it, but most of the public believes that the family should be held responsible for the killing. The main suspect that police keyed in on was the mother of JonBenet. The reason for the suspicion of the mother was the 911 call made by Patsy Ramsey the day of the murder. In this 911 call, the mother seemed very suspicious. Patsy said “We have a kidnapping” ( McClish). “It seemed like she knew something she was not telling” (McClish 2001).

This essay I have decided to write about Oprah Winfrey. This is because Oprah had many serious life events. These life events must have implemented her key development stages or the other.
New York in the 80s had streets full of citizens who were homeless and were being institutionalized for a mental disability, such as the case of Joyce Brown. In 1984 a woman named Joyce Brown was admitted by her three sisters into East Orange General Hospital in New Jersey, where Brown was determined to be psychotic and schizophrenic. After two weeks of treatment Brown was released and moved to Manhattan eventually becoming homeless in 1987. Mayor Koch, of Manhattan, worked with Project Help, who tried to take the homeless off the streets. Soon after Koch talked with Project Help, Brown was involuntarily committed to Bellevue Hospital by police officers. There Brown was diagnosed by another psychiatrist to be psychotic. During the 84 days spent in Bellevue Hospital, Brown was forced to take antipsychotic and tranquilizer medications. One year later, Brown’s case was brought to court where the Robert Lippman was appointed as judge. Brown was represented by the American Civil Liberties Union as long as the case was public to help the homeless community, this started The Case of Joyce Brown. The use of involuntary psychiatric commitment
On the outside Demi Lovato was every young girl’s idol in the late 2000’s. Lovato had her own successful television show, Sonny With a Chance on Disney Channel and starred in the Camp Rock movie series with the Jonas Brothers. However, on the inside she was suffering from multiple mental illnesses. She has suffered from bulimia, self-harm, anorexia, and depression. In 2011, she was officially diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Since hitting rock bottom in 2010 she is slowly recovering from her mental illnesses. Bipolar disorder is described as unusual shifts in mood, activity levels, and energy (Bipolar Disorder). Specifically, Lovato suffered from bipolar depression (Be Vocal). Recently, she partnered with five mental health companies to promote
Whitney Houston to most was a very amazing and talented person who allowed life and its mishaps break her down. As a young girl she grew up in the church where she felt like it was a sign from God that she should be singing. Freud believes that religion is an illusion, an attempt to gain control over the external world. In his eyes saying that anything is a sign from God depends on how you vision life. There were times in her life where she would produce more music just to get thru the thing that she would be going through. She would use her music as a defense mechanism to get away from all of the abuse, problems with her marriage, neglect, and drugs. Defense mechanisms are ways to distort reality to reduce anxiety: Rationalization is giving a positive reason to a stressor and regression is withdrawing from reality and going to pastime.
I have selected Britney Spears as my subject for the reason that I realize that she has been through so much in her life and has a tendency to convey her emotions radically and live life on the edge most of the times. Moreover, I find it simply fascinating to scrutinize Britney Spears’ personality by means of the Psychoanalysis so as to offer deeper comprehension in investigating her personality. Even though this process of personality analysis is hardly ever employed today due to a deficiency of empirical verification and a disappointment to deal with any adulthood impact on personality, the approach’s stress on childhood development is a long way from without foundation. It permits for a fascinating and vibrant examination of personality as it imparts a comprehensive description of why Britney’s id conquers her ego and superego in a majority of her decisions, as well as reciting her fixations within the oral stage of the psychosexual development. By exploring her defense mechanisms, from a spectator’s view it is apparent that she stays clear of anxiety-provoking stimuli by means of warping reality to her own terms. Taken as a whole, this assessment of Britney Spears’s personality does an excellent work via the psychoanalytic perspective as means to reveal/display a lucid conception of her outlook on the world and the connections with her relationships as to why she is this way at the moment.
In today’s world, celebrities are often misunderstood, especially singer/songwriter Robin Rihanna Fenty, referred to as Rihanna. Rihanna’s sexual behaviors in her videos have been talked about in negative ways for some time now, but what [eople do not understand is that it is all for fame. Celebrities will do anything to keep their career going strong. If one really took the time out to take a deep look at Rihanna, they will notice how humble she really is. After going through the abusive relationship with Chris Brown, Rihanna has struggled with gaining that strong confidence with who she is. Her critics believe that she is still trying to discover herself and figure out who she really is as a person. Rihanna is often given two choices, to do what she is being asked to do, or throw her career out the window. She either gives the crowd the sexual acts they want or let her career die down. In the song “S&M,” Rihanna was really exposing herself to the crowd, as well as “Good Girl, Gone Bad.” She is basically telling the crowd that this is the person she is, but is it really? For my original piece I will be creating a journal, expressing the feelings Rihanna felt as she overcomes her struggles. Rihanna’s sexual behaviors in her videos are really all for fame and therefore, are easily misunderstood.
Don’t you get that badass vibe whenever Rihanna is dancing in her music videos and singing those despicable lines? Yes, everyone does! With an unprecedented musical success, she’s one the most influencing pop stars the world has seen since the 2000s.
Eric made his way to Mariah’s house like he said he would. He hasn’t seen her all day and he knew she wasn’t going to attend the blue diamond’s club that evening. As he pulled up at her condominium, he parked in an empty parking spot before making his way to her door. A few seconds after he knocked, Mariah opened the door slowly biting her bottom lip.
Chapter five, Writing as Healing and the Rhetorical Tradition: Sorting Out Plato, Postmodernism, Writing Pedagogy, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder written by T.R. Johnson of the University of New Orleans describes the different views of how language helps a person who has encountered a traumatic experience overcome and heal. Chapter nine, Pathography and Enabling Myths: The Process of Healing written by Anne Hunsaker Hawkins of Pennsylvania State University discusses how personal writing, such as autobiographies and biographies, promote healing in regards to illness. Both of these two chapters speak about writing in regards to healing, but chapter nine speaks about a specific writing that tends to be more effective.
