Bob Marley

The creator of one of the best types of music, one of the biggest supporters of the rastafari believement. Bob Marley was different then almost every artist. He had the interesting story with great music and influenced people with his music. Bob Marley created Reggae music, which is the modern pop music in jamaica first showed up in the 1960s. His music was influencing people from jamaica, all the way to the youth in the united states and europe. His music was causing peace and he wanted to prove things and wanted everyone to just come together and be happy. Bob Marley inspired Peace, Freedom, and fixed racial problems during his life through music and actions.

Bob marley was a man that just wanted peace in everyone, and wanted everyone to live happy and not have violence in their life. Bob marley didn't only sing about how peace and justice should be fixed, he did actions as well. While trying to spread peace and happiness there was an assassination attempt in december of 1976 while bob marley got shot in his bicep two days before he performed in his concert. Bob marley began going on tours all over the world trying to inspire people and give out a message about peace. When Bob Marley arrived in africa, he then found the rastafari culture. After Bob found out about these beliefs he then began putting it in his music, and started tying his life around it. Rastafarianism was believed to be “The cultural and political aspects of rastafarianism defined it as a potential threat to the establishment. This included a belief in black racial superiority, radical nonviolent action, and an endorsement of the spiritual uplifting that could allegedly be attained by smoking marijuana.”(Encyclopedia of World Biography.). Bob Marley believed that him smoking marijuana wasn't just to get high or be cool, he believed that it would cure all. As seen in Bob Marley's foot problem, he got a injury that needed to be amputated, but he believed that him smoking marijuana would fix all of his problems and it wasn't in the rastafarians beliefs.
