When I learned that I will need to know so much information about different cultures I thought it would be a great idea to take a literature class that teaches so much information about other cultures and I learned more than I imagined I would throughout this course. I now have a much bigger insight on other cultures, not only in healthcare, but in the world as well. I do not think that my personal beliefs were challenged very much throughout the texts that were read. I have a very broad mindset and try to find a way to understand everything. I never had really thought much about the US Latina culture before taking this class so I think that is why the texts did not challenge my beliefs very
