Q: 1) how biostatistics is related with public health?
ANS) Public health is vast field which ensure to improve health of an entire community, therefore multi-sectoral approach is required, that is either directly or indirectly related to public health. Biostatistics is one of the basic sciences of public health and helps us to solve any public health problem.
For example biostatistics helps us to calculate age-adjusted cancer incidence rates to determine trends over time and locality, to compute statistical measures of the risk of developing brain tumors following cell phone use after adjusting for possible confounding variables, to quantify the relationship between

ANS) There are number of public health issues in Pakistan. Due to weak primary and preventive health care services Pakistan has a double burden of communicable diseases as well as non-communicable diseases. We can conduct studies and with the use statistical information to address all the public health issues in Pakistan and plan for future like starting new preventive care programs or recommend reforms in the existing programs.
According to World Health organization, Pakistan proportion mortality which is the percentage of total deaths for all ages and both sexes. The proportionate mortality rate of cardiovascular diseases is 19%, Cancers is 8%, chronic respiratory diseases is 6%, injuries 11%, diabetes 3%, other non-communicable diseases is 15% and Communicable, maternal, prenatal and nutritional conditions is 38%. These all are conditions are easily preventable. Many studies shows that with life style modification and provision of clean water and nutrition we can non-communicable diseases, which will not only help reduce the above figures but also decrease the patients burden on our
