The article “Bigger, Faster Avalanches, Triggered by Climate Change” shows the unusual behaving of the glaciers in the Tibet. Glaciers move very slow over time. However, In the Tibet, snow and ice collapsed of the glaciers move in very fast speed in short time. The speed may reach 200 miles per an hour. Scientists are surprised by how they move in a such fast speed, and they believe this crisis is caused by the global warming. As we produce more heat on the Earth, more collapses of the snow happen, which lead to global warming. The collapses may impact both animal and human lives. I think we will have the climate change for a long time. If we do not want to deal with the original problem, which is greenhouse gases emission, we should handle
the effects of climate change. For example, in the case of Tibet, the government should come with a solution for this problem. I mean the government should handle the issue if occurs another time. First, they can handle human life, so no man/woman in the Tibet effected by this issue. Then, they move on to protect the animal life from these collapses. Next, they handle the increasing melting of the ice in their country. Nevertheless, neighboring countries should be involved in this issue. This is not an issue for one country. Instead, it is a problem for all countries in the world. My question is: how the Tibet can solve such a problem?

Another piece of evidence I believe supports my claim is that “The glaciers seasonal melting keeps the rivers flowing during the dry season but as the glaciers retreat more and more every year, there will be less water during the dry season.” (Doc A) this proves my claim because if there is no more water to flow into the rivers during the dry season the people of China would have to go an unsurvivable time without water. And for some final evidence “In addition the melting could cause massive flooding followed by severe drought.” (Doc A) I believe this because, Of China had flooding followed by drought, it would not only cause major destruction, but would also cause almost all agriculture in China to diminish, as well as put China’s flourishing economy to be put on hold. People are responsible for higher carbon dioxide atmosphere emissions, while the Earth is now into the Little Ice Age, or just behind it. These factors together cause many years discussions of the main sources of climate changes and the temperature increasing as a result of human been or natural changes and its consequences; even if its lead to the global warming, or to the Earth’s cooling. In their articles, “Global Warming Is Eroding Glacial Ice” by Andrew C. Revkin and “Global Warming Is Not a Threat to Polar Ice” by Philip Stott, both authors discuss these two theories (Revkin 340; Stott 344). Revkin is right that global warming is taking place. Significant increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is due to human activities combined with natural factors such as volcanic emissions and solar radiation – all together they lead to climate changes and temperatures rising. At the same time, other factors such as deforestation contribute to environmental changes for some glaciers not less than air pollution. However, during global warming not all regions of the planet are affected in the same way, local warming and cooling are both possible during these changes.
Global warming on its own is its own crisis but it also has major negative effects on China’s scarcity in water and their resources. Document A of BGE DBQ Online 2017 states, “glaciers covering China’s Qinghai-Tibet plateau are shrinking 7% a year due to global warming and the environment consequences may be dire.” With the glaciers shrinking, that means less water. Every season the glaciers keeps the rivers flowing during the dry season since it's such a major resource of water, but as the glaciers melt and retreat more and more every year, there will be less water during the dry season in where people need the water the most during the year. According to Doc A, “The melting could cause massive flooding, followed by severe drought and an ultimate long-term decrease in water supply that is irreplaceable. This warming has not only caused glacial retreat but also the drying up of numerous lakes that feed the region’s rivers.” Global warming is ruining China’s water supply not only because of the glaciers but also since there now is higher temperatures in seasons in which it would be surprising to see, and because of this drastic change in weather that means some of the animals that help preserve the waters cleanliness are gone making different kind of bacteria to form without any way of natural removal. According to Allen (2008) there is evidence that indicates some ice-free oceans and thereby contradict that the whole planet was covered by glacial ice.

Emissions have now passed the absorptive capacity of the earth and are accumulating in the earth’s atmosphere, warming the surface of the earth and inducing localized climatic changes. Climate change is often a localized issue. Many regions of the world will continue to become hotter, while others may experience highly variable weather patterns. Climate change poses a serious threat to ecosystems, economic sectors, and human welfare. Although almost entirely caused by the developed world, climate change will disproportionally affect the world’s poor.
There are many different glacial landforms created by glacial erosion, one of these landforms is U-shaped valleys or glacial troughs. This glacial landform has many distinct characteristics. One of these characteristics is that it has very steep valley sides caused by the glacier as it moves down the valley eroding the sides of the valley by the processes of abrasion and plucking. Abrasion is when the boulders and moraine carried by the glacier rubs and erodes the valley side as it physically moves down the valley. Plucking happens when the water in the glacier freezes inside of the cracks in the individual rocks on the valley side then the water freezes and as the glacier moves the rock is plucked or torn from the valley side producing the steep side to the valley.
Climate change is a global problem because this Earth is home to many, and the artificial sources causing climate changes have been caused by many people over the course of many years. The changes can be seen on a day-to-day level through the rise in average surface temperatures (Figure 3A, Figure 3B). Climate change will change landscapes and increase sea levels due to the melting of ice and changes in water runoff; put wildlife at risk of extinction; increase the risk of drought, wildfires, and floods; lead to increased likelihood of storm damage due to stronger storms and storms occurring in previously not at risk regions; and cause a development in more heat related illness (“Climate Change: Threats and Impacts”). The repercussions of climate change will affect every nation, and major changes will have to be made for everything from farming to fashion. Many climate scientists, researchers, and environmentalists are expressing concerns about shifts in the overall climate of the earth. It is believed that a dramatically dangerous warming is taking place in the overall global climate, a problem that is referred to as "global warming”. Global warming is the observed century-scale rise in the average temperature of Earth’s climate system. This temperature rise is due to the damaging effects of deforestation and the burning of fossil fuels. It is our responsibility to preserve our planet and our way of living but in order to do that we need to act now. If we continue to destroy the planet with no regard as to how serious this matter is there could be several negative effects to us as human being and other living thing on Earth. This is why global warming is truly a global issue and needs to be tackled collectively. We must to act now in order to reduce the dangerous levels of carbon dioxide emissions and we must to work together.
Climate change is an inevitable phenomenon that is being experienced globally in various forms, such as temperature rise. Sea level rise, droughts, floods, hurricanes, landslides, etc. According to the fourth assessment report of the IPCC project, even with immediate implementation of mitigation strategies, global climate change will continue for decades. Climate change is inflicting serious consequences on human wellbeing and will continue to inflict damage in the future. It is estimated that global temperature will rise by 1.8 oC - 4.0 oC by the end of the 21st century (Izaurraade, 2009).

Because these things will affect society, there are important decisions that have to be made in the present as well as in the future to secure people’s lives and lifestyles. The world community is aware of this serious issue and do already prepare for projects to slow down global warming, but they still have to improve. If the world leaders stop worrying about this issue, the future generations could be in danger. The future lifestyles will be affected by the decisions made in the present day. Society has much to improve to save energy and to lower greenhouse gas emissions. There are also small things people can do to help. Individuals can live a life without wasting energy or polluting the environment. Without effort, global warming endangers the quality of life for the future generations.
