Could you ever imagine a murder happen in your school, well in Big Little Lies that is what happened. Celeste, Jane and Madeline are three of the moms that are close friends. Jane has a son named Ziggy who is accused of bulling another kid at school. Celeste is in an abusive marriage and has to decide to stay with him or leave and take her twin boys with her. Madeline has a daughter named Abigail and she recently went to live with her dad, who has not been there for most of her life. In this paper I will be predicting on what happens, and questioning why something happened and evaluating. I think Madeline might kill Nathan to get Abigail back. I think her mind set behind doing that is how he was never there for her or Abigail and now he gets her and its not fair. I’ m guessing Madeline didn’t intend on killing him but when things heat up it just gets out of hand. “That’s going to attract a wonderful class of …show more content…
charitable person. Our daughter is an idiot. We raised an idiot. Oh wait, you didn’t raise her. I raised her. I’ve raised an idiot (Moriarty 346)”. If Madeline was to kill Nathan than she would get full custody of Abigail what she wants right now. She is jealous of how Abigail has a new mom and seems like she’s having a better time with Nathan and Bonnie. Madeline says how when Abigail comes to stay with her on the weekends how she has to treat her like a guest in her house. Madeline may feel like she’s being kept out of the loop, for example how Nathan cancelled Abigail’s tutor without talking to her first. All in all Madeline would have a motive to go after Nathan and she does have a reason. Why would Celeste stay with Perry if he keeps hurting her? Will she leave before it escalates to someone getting hospitalized? For now I think she’s staying for her twin boys so they can grow up with a dad. Until the day when the boys are older and they do something to upset Perry and he hurts them. Will Celeste leave then? I would hope she would stand up for her boys and not be afraid of her husband. If she is scared of Perry she should go to the police. In the book it says that if he hurts her that regularly how long will it be before he kills her. “If she stayed, and they remained on this trajectory together, he would probably, eventually, find something to be angry enough about that he would kill her. There was no way out (Moriarty 343-344).” If she was to die he would be a single parent to her kids and she cant stand the thought of him raising her kids. She was afraid if he were to raise them then they would grow up and hurt women like their dad. So, after everything that has already happened to Celeste she should leave him before someone gets really hurt. I don’t like how Ziggy is being accused of bulling even though there’s no proof.
Amabella is the one who is getting bullied. She has never actually said explicitly that Ziggy is the one who hurt her. Everyone is assuming it was him because of the incident that happened at orientation. I think Amabella is lying and is scared to tell the truth because of getting bullied more. “I brought up the incident you mentioned at orientation day, and he was very clear that it wasn’t him. I’d be very surprised if he’s lying. If he’s lying, then he’s the most accomplished liar I’ve ever seen. And frankly, Ziggy does not show any classic signs of bullying personality. He’s not narcissistic. He most certainly demonstrates empathy and sensitivity,” Said the psychologist (Moriarty 327). I would believe the professional that Ziggy is not a bully or capable of it rather than just accuse without proof. If Amabella would say it was him and make a case for herself than it would be different. After all the facts it shows that Ziggy is not the one who has been bullying
Amabella. After reading this paper you can see my prediction of how Madeline might murder Nathan and my question of why Celeste would stay with Perry is he hurts her and my evaluating on how Ziggy is not the one who has been bulling Amabella. This book has a lot of drama and problems that need to be resolved. There’s a lot of suspense building up to finding who killed who and who is dead now.
These three characters’ behaviors, personalities, and their thoughts affect the story “Catch a Killer”. Also Tawney’s behaviors, that shoots Gladston’s theory down and finds Corso and Andrew, show his honesty. The beginning of the story tells how rebellious Andrew is. Bullying and cruelty is the reason that Corso becomes a killer. These three main characters are revolved around each other in the
In the high criminal neighborhood where the other Wes lived, people who live there need a positive role model or a mentor to lead them to a better future. Usually the older family members are the person they can look up to. The other Wes’s mother was not there when the other Wes felt perplexed about his future and needed her to support and give him advises. Even though the other Wes’s mother moved around and tried to keep the other Wes from bad influences in the neighborhood, still, the other Wes dropped out of school and ended up in the prison. While the author Wes went to the private school every day with his friend Justin; the other Wes tried to skip school with his friend Woody. Moore says, “Wes had no intention of going to school. He was supposed to meet Woody later – they were going to skip school with some friends, stay at Wes’s house, and have a cookout” (59). This example shows that at the time the other Wes was not interested in school. Because Mary was busy at work, trying to support her son’s education, she had no time and energy to look after the other Wes. For this reason, she did not know how the other Wes was doing at school and had no idea that he was escaping school. She missed the opportunities to intervene in her son’s life and put him on the right track. Moreover, when the author was in the military school, the other Wes was dealing drugs to people in the streets and was already the father of a child. The incident that made the other Wes drop out of school was when he had a conflict with a guy. The other Wes was dating with the girl without knowing that she had a boyfriend. One night, her boyfriend found out her relationship with the other Wes and had a fight with him. During the fight, the other Wes chased the guy and shot him. The guy was injured and the other Wes was arrested

Alex Billings is a nice, kind-hearted, young lady. Just like every person starting at High school whether it is Junior or Freshman year, Alex wanted to make new friends just like Ms. Pearson. Alex barely knew Ms. Pearson. So why would she falsely accuse someone she barely knew of bullying her? She wouldn’t! Ms. Pearson is known for causing trouble the year before in junior high as said by Principal Li after responding to an email a week later that was sent by Ms. Francis. Also she changed a student 's background on the computer to an inappropriate picture and when a teacher came by and saw the picture, Ms. Pearson didn’t get in trouble for doing it, the student did and the student wasn’t even in the room when Ms. Pearson did it. Ms. Pearson like to pull pranks and jokes on folks just for the fun of it but never even think about the results of what or how it might affect that individual. Even when she was taunting Alex with those harsh text messages and MyFace postes she probably never even stop to think about how Alex would felt when seeing and reading what Ms.Pearson and fellow classmates were saying. Alex tried to ignore the situation but she couldn’t because it was getting out of hand. Ms. Pearson was mad because Alex told the counselor about the messages and the posts and knew that if she wasn’t going to get in trouble with the school, she was going to get in trouble some other
On an ordinary day, Leslie opens the main door of her house, when she walked inside she saw her mom and sister Islla sitting on the coach. Islla was crying, and Leslie ask her “What happened?’ Why you crying?’”. Islla told her that she is pregnant and that she wants to keep the baby even if her boyfriend will be against the baby, but she will need to drop out from her University. In a few minutes of thinking, Leslie decided and told her sister “You don’t need to drop out I will help you to babysit with my nephew.”
Most acts of bullying are dealt with, but not always in the correct way of doing so. Bullying Policies in many schools state that bullying is not tolerated and has consequences that will be used if bullying occurs. However, Jodi draws our attention to the issue that not all schools have a policy that states the consequences of bullying and practically just tells the victim to fight back and stand up for himself. This generally makes things worse for the victim by allowing the bully think that the victim is trying to "embarrass" the bully. With repeated attacks on one, it will have him/her believe they are either "useless" or think that they have to do something to prevent the next attacks, and this may not always be pretty or the "right" way. The results of these intense, repeated attacks can cause the victim Just like this book, shootings are a result of bullying, derogation, and ignorance and end ultimately end with many

All My Sons is a play about the trials and tribulations of the normal everyday suburbia. The play brings out the reality that not everything is perfect. Holes are created by the fight between good and evil. In this play the evil is the act of lying, and the good is the innocence of ignorance. The play starts with an everyday business man given the age-old fight of man versus himself. He had to decide whether or not to ship defective parts. On the one side if he did not, he would lose his business and his life as he knew it. On the other hand, he could send parts that could kill innocent others. Evil came out of him and he lied and shipped the defective parts. Later on twenty one soldiers died from this, and his business was put on the spot. He lied yet again and had his partner take the blame to spend years in prison. Joe was found not guilty by the court of law and only a few knew of the real happenings. One of those few was his wife, Kate. She was one of the good, innocent few until she began to lie to everyone, keeping in her husbands secret. Problems arose when her one son never returned from war. She did not want to assume he was dead; she was only lying to herself. Over time, Kate started to change; she never acknowledged the truth and kept trying to live her own little lie. A sinister outlook started to set in. Certain danger was imminent as Kate’s presence leached into the people of the formerly peaceful suburban t...
The story weaves in and out of each of the three narratives and simultaneously between real and fantasy. One moment the story will be taking place in the modern present day and the next moment it will be taking place in another dimension of space on a fantasy planet called Zycron. The story is told by the sole survivor of the once rich and powerful Canadian family, Iris Chase Griffen, who gives her account on past events through a personal memoir. She attempts to retell her family’s past, with her focus geared towards her arranged husband and the death of her sister Laura Chase. Iris begins her narrative during the historical time period of the two World Wars and the Depression era near the end of the nineteen century, providing the foundation for the second narrative. Writing from her own personal record, Iris ties family history from both the Chase and Griffen families, as she attempts to unfold the causes and events that led to her sister Laura’s suicide. The second narrative we are provided with is supposedly written by Laura Chase and published after her death by her sister Iris. This novel within a novel is called, “The Blind Assassin,” which is a story about two anonymous lovers, a woman of high social class and a young runaway who secretly meet in these dreary backstreet rooms. The third narrative is a science fiction tale interwoven into the novel within a novel narrative, told by the anonymous man while in the backstreet rooms, about an assassin and a crippled girl in this fairy tale city of Sakiel Norm on planet Zycron. Along with all of the different narratives, there are multiple articles from local newspapers and magazines scattered throughout the chapters of Iris’s personal memoir. Near the end of the novel, a big plot twist happens, when the readers find out that Iris is actually the author of the narrative, “Blind Assassin”
