They will go through anyone or damage anything to reach their goal. No matter how small or how tall they are, anyone can be a villain. What is a Hero? In the Novel Mythology by Edith Hamilton it speaks of many Greek Gods and Goddesses, you get a clear outlook on many of the characters in the novel. Many of these gods fit some criteria on what a hero is. An Epic Hero is a character who is brave and takes risks to accomplish tasks not only for themselves but for the goodness of others. A Hero is someone who doesn't only do things to benefit themselves but benefits the people around them and goes on quests to establish their greatness. Who is also glorified by their community. Everyone dreams of being a hero however the path is narrow. The mantle of responsibility is important aspects and the presence of the heroic traits must be shown in some form. However, there will always be outliers and deemed delusional who attempt to be heroes. In Watchmen, Moore creates an omnipotent hero who lacks humanity in the portrayal of the Dr. Manhattan as a psychopathic anti-hero.
The protagonist of Most Likely to Succeed is Katherine “Kaye” Beale Gordon. She is a senior in high school, vice-president of student council, and head cheerleader at her high school. She is the epitome of what every high school girl imagines: popular and in control. Kaye exhibits the two character traits of proactiveness and prestigiousness. Kaye exemplifies proactiveness by already having her life planned out, for after high school. Throughout Most Likely to Succeed, Kaye continuously talks about what she planned. At the beginning, she talks about having plans with her highschool sweetheart, Aidan. They planned to “establish [their] banking careers, and then getting married,” for which she had known the plan for “three
To sum it up, friendship drove our team dynamic, and it is not only functional but also socially beneficial for us. “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is a progress. Working together is a success. ”
This bond of friendship helps the men of Alpha Company survive on a day to day basis. They rely on each other for entertainment to drone out the monotony of the days. With hours and hours of marching and no action the men need a release or the boredom would drive them crazy. He is a chess fanatic and rarely loses a game to his best friend, Arthur. Kenny get bullied at school because he lives with his grandma (who he calls G-ma), so everyone except Arthur calls him Grandma’s Boy. In the cafeteria, Ray-ray started a food fight with Kenny, and landed
Bill Peek in my opinion is a complex character. In Bill Peek’s mind, he believes that he is in a virtual reality but he is not. This made me think back to when I was time traveling to place to place and I did not understand what was happening. In Bill Peek’s story for example, “He saw it all perfectly clearly in the candlelight—the people in black, weeping, and Aggie on her knees by the table, and inside the driftwood box the lifeless body of a real girl, the first object of its kind that young Bill Peek had ever seen. Her hair was red and set in large, infantile curls, her skin very white, and her eyes wide open and green”. At this moment is when Bill Peek realizes that his virtual reality is real and Aggie has passed away. It also seems that
